When Claudia went on maternity leave before Ripley was born, she told herself that it would be temporary. She loved being a Legend, and it wasn’t just about the time travel. She loved being a part of something bigger than herself, but she quickly found that she loved being a mother more. Still, she missed the group that was like family to her, and she was dismayed when it all came to an end. After sulking for about a month, she decided that it was time for her to pursue a new dream and became a songwriter. When she isn’t taking care of Ripley and Ash, she can often be found in her recording studio working on the next big hit.

{i think, after the incident on mt nibel, when an injured cloud brought back a hurt and comatose tifa, and tifa’s father blamed cloud for getting his daughter hurt, i think claudia was PISSED.}

{she never really quite forgave tom for hurting cloud the way he did, emotionally, and hated tom from that point on out. she understood that he was worried about his daughter, but at the same time, he had to have seen the condition her boy was in. that he’d clearly fought to get tifa out of there safely, and was probably lucky to be alive himself.}

{and tifa was basically his only friend in nibelheim; he was too shy and anxious to befriend anyone else, and tom told him to stay away from tifa Or Else.}

{she never forgave tom for that. claudia viewed that whole thing, in a way, as tom stealing her son away from her, and away from everyone, really, but her especially. he withdrew from basically everyone, hating himself and picking fights with the other kids, and he was just never really the same loving kid. i definitely think she mourned that loss, upset that she hadn’t done enough to help him.}

{she did her best to help cloud and try to convince him that it wasn’t his fault, but it never really... sank in. she definitely tried to circumvent tom’s rule and let tifa see cloud, even if cloud was determined to follow that one rule.}
