my one design nerd post :
Burberry’s going back to their old logo, but with refined type and adjusted illustration 😆
I decorated my new Cricut with a Frederick Chilton asking to use Will’s shower
Ngl, teared up a bit after I saw what they did to Mercy again.
I'm thinking about changing my design for Mimi :/c
I like it, but I think she looks too young? I know that there's people who don't look their age (I'm people, because I'm 21 years old already but most people say I look like a 16 yo) and also, her looks are all about the lore I created for her.
Mimi in my canon is a shapeshifter because her creator wanted her to be someone she lost, the problem is, Mimi didn't have the ability yet to copy who the woman wanted, and that's why she's... Weird, with the green face, enormous black eyes, mouth and body and the strange proportions, like how her head looks so big and she's so thin. And the person she wanted her to copy was her 14 yo daughter, who died because of a witch hunt.
Why I like it.
Because she looks weird, cartooney, and when I look at her I see the Mimi from the game, it doesn't make me feel like I made her character too different from what I see when I play. And it also makes a lot of sense for the "fan lore"
But why I dislike it.
She looks too young, and when I draw her with the other characters she always makes me see her as a little girl, a teen, a little sister, a daughter and... You can already see the problem.
I will always be very clear when I separate the "Dimentio sees her as his annoying sister" and "He sees her as someone he actually fell in love, even unconsciously", or "he doesn't care about her, she's just there (this is how I see it in-game btw, he just... Doesn't mind her)". But it still weirds me out when I look. Even if I think I'm great at making her feel like an adult.
I'm really good at making different versions of things btw
And that's why I'm trying/or want to change her (maybe I could even use different designs depending on the interpretation I want).
Leave an opinion if you want! I would appreciate some help with this ajfja
Thanks for reading!
I love when you put dimentio in Victorian Era clothes
That's good because it's kinda hard for me to not draw him wearing them X)
And fun fact, his "standard design" and my King Boo gijinka are based on 18th century royalty fashion :3
This one for example:
There are some differences because I actually design them in the moment I draw, using literally no references (And I should use them, I'm just too lazy to search akjdsh), and I try to take inspiration from them too, I don't really like to copy stuff.
I thank the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, WikiVictorian from Twitter and google for the knowledge I have today aksdj
