so, the episode where Emma meets the other bailsbond woman, Cleo, who dies and inspires her to become a bailsbond person too and to wear leather jackets and hide her emotions, is supposed to be in 2009 which makes Emma 26
Which means Emma in two years:
finished her education (all without being recognized as a wanted petty criminal that Cleo was meant to arrest)
took a bailsbond person license (while earning in some way the money she needed to survive in the meanwhile)
took enough small jobs to earn enough money to buy equipment, like a laptop, so she could tackle harder and better paid jobs all while somehow managing to earn enough money to pay all living expenses and save some
did enough big jobs that she was able to afford a big apartment in Boston
I call bullshit on that, as a dirty poor person who comes from a poor family, and knows how hard if not impossible it is to become well-off fast (or ever) especially without having connections that can help you, saved money, or someone who takes care of you while you go up the ladder because you can’t spend all the little money you earn initially in food and taxes or you will not put money aside and will not be able to go up any ladder
it’s already pretty much impossible for her to have done it in ten years, let alone two.
And Adam and Eddie are a mess when it comes to math and writing down the right dates and age, they admitted that themselves.
So in my blog Emma met Cleo in Tallahassee when she was 19-20, and from there finished high school with online courses while working as waitress/cleaning lady with some people who were generous with her, then took the bailsbond license, but had already helped some people before which created her good connections and references (and maybe had some magical help without realizing she was using her powers) and that meant getting well-paid jobs right away.
