For Hojo:✪🔅 For Tristan:💣✘ // some attention for the non-mainstream peeps :D

✪: Have they ever let a rare opportunity slip them by?
He has. Probably more than one, but I think the one that he secretly regrets would be not having taken advantage of his position to become a more important figure in Sephiroth’s life.
🔅: What’s a place that holds special meaning to them? Why?
Nibelheim. It’s a bittersweet place for him, where he genuinely felt something he tentatively identifies as love (if only to himself) and had it ripped away shortly after. It was the first time he killed someone deliberately. And it was also the place of Sephiroth’s birth.
💣: Did they ever get caught in a situation because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Oh god, so many times. XD When Tristan first started his business, he hadn’t thought to put in neutrality rules, so there were times clients would come by at random, run into someone they didn’t like, and there would be a scuffle right outside his door, or one or two memorable occasions inside his house.
He has since then implemented a rule that people keep any fighting far away if they want to receive his services.
✘: Who do they detest the most? Do they typically avoid this person or antagonize them?
There’s some gang leaders that Tristan just can’t stand, but at the top of that list is AVALANCHE 1.0, and at the top of that, Fuhito. It’s not that he’s particularly pro-ShinRa, but their casual attitude towards casualties - especially civilian “collateral damage” - gets under his skin. If they were honest about their methods and not pretending they had the moral highground, he might be slightly more tolerant.
(He’s also got a bone to pick with both the President and Heidegger, but that has more to do with growing up in the Slums than a specific, personal issue.)
In all cases, he’s largely conflict avoidant... but if he gets the opportunity to enable one of their opponents, he’s not necessarily going to pass that up.
