OC Building- Mallory Jenkins Part 8
Being broken makes sitting at a computer very difficult and since I don’t have a laptop, just mobile devices, it wasn’t writing or working on characters much. But I have a second of free computer time! Yay! It feels so good to visit Mal again.
Continuing Mal’s development via @xleafyheartx ‘s 100 Random Character Development Questions.
071. How kind is your character?
Mal is literally one of the sweetest people on earth. She goes out of her way to help people who she knows won't even thank her or feel gratitude.
072. In a Dungeons & Dragons game, which class would your character be? (wizard, fighter, bard, priest, ranger, etc.)
In terms of which one matches her personality, she'd probably be an outlander sorcerer. However, if she were to choose a character to play as she'd probably pick something very different from herself like a fighter or wizard.
073. In a novel, what plot role would your character fill? (hero, anti-hero, sidekick, villain, etc.)
Well since she is in a novel, lol, she’s kind of the hero. But it’s funny, all things considered about her “state of being” and in most stories she’d be the monster. She’s undead, is destined for Hell, and questions have been raised as to whether or not she has a soul. But Mal is the hero of this story, and not despite these things, but because she embraces them.
074. What is your character’s favorite game?
Mal likes board games in general, but she is a HUGE fan of Clue. She loves solving the mystery and working logically. If there’s anything that works off those same type of rules, she’ll love that too.
075. Is your character ticklish?
Not really, no. She’ll get that “there’s a hair on me” kind of feeling but she can’t be tickled by another person.
076. How do they express anger?
Mal is not great at expressing her anger. She doesn’t like the emotion and can bottle it up too much. Most of the time she tries to wait it out by going behind her house and walking in the woods.
077. How often do they cry? Over what?
Mal’s not a big cryer. She does feel very strongly about things, but she doesn’t react by crying. Silence and averted gazes are more her speed.
078. How emotionally stable is your character?
She’s pretty stable, though as the author I would say that she hasn’t been tested too much. She has a rough time with mom and the stress of school ending, but she’s handling that rather well because she understands that they’re just a part of life. When supernatural aspects are inserted into her life, she’s going to be a lot more emotional than she ever was.
079. How easy is it for them to read the emotions of others?
Mal is very good at picking up on other’s moods and whether they are hiding something from her.
080. How easy is it for others to read your character’s emotions?
Not easy. Mal always seems to be in the middle. Not happy, not sad. Just alright.
