Update on Malia

Hi everyone! I’ve been using my time recovering from being sick on semi-hiatus to retool a bit about Malia and her character development in this RP. I’ve rewritten/hopefully added some clarity to her bio page. The incidents with the group of hunters targeting Hales (not just the kidnapping/torture but also the abduction/brainwashing of Ariel) has really affected Malia in more ways than I ever anticipated.  Because of this, Malia’s priorities are shifting and changing, so I’m taking some time to outline & write a bit of headcanon in preparation for said changes. 

Thanks for being patient with me while I’ve been sick taking my time sitting with Malia’s character for the last few days. Hopefully I’ll be 100% recovered and back to writing with you all soon! In the meantime, I am trying to keep up on reading everyone’s current threads so I don’t get too behind. I’m mostly mobile lately, so I am accessible by chat, even if I’m not currently writing.

Headcanons for Malia and Guilty Pleasures

Malia is chock full of guilty pleasures. Some of them are normal things like her love for taylor swift. Then you have weird things that were picked up while she was coyote in the woods that still translate to her when she’s human like enjoying raw meat (especially deer). But don’t mistake her cuddling habits as a guilty pleasure. She owns that shit. She loves being the big spoon and you had better deal with it. *z snap* 

I wish I had more material for this but oh my god I think it’s inspired me to keep a list of guilty pleasures of her’s and add to it whenever I think of one so thanks. :)

It doesn’t help she doesn’t know who her mother is, a key to trying to fit in is knowing where she comes from and who she is. Yes, she knows who her real father is but that doesn’t make finding out who she truly is any easier. It scares her more because she doesn’t want to believe she could actually be someone like that.

( Malia considers her changing last name as a way to explain herself who is or was; before the accident she was a Tate, afterwards she had no name or last name and now she is a Hale. I don't think she thinks anything of it outside of that. )
