current books I’m reading: I just finished my fourth consecutive semester of engineering at university and am still recovering so none right now, sadly.

my sister, who lives in the basement suite: hey so i adopted a cat today and assuming the house inspection goes okay i should have a new cat in a week or two
me, after less than 20 minutes of alone time: okay so heres three different websites about how to introduce a new cat to old ones, one has a video demonstrating the method. this this and this were the main points from the websites and while this one might be hard to do given the setup of the house and your suite, we can start prepping this one now. if you have any questions ill be happy to find you more information.

me, after 2 minutes of scanning my 2 bookshelves: okay so i found 3 books on cat behavior and a book of (nonfiction) cute cat stories so im just going to give them a quick lookover to see what information might be relevant. im sure i have at least one more book but i wanted to start reading instead of looking. ill find them later
me, later: okay so i found another 3-4 books on behavior and body language, ranging from kid-friendly and full of cute pictures to 300 pages carefully dissecting each aspect of cats body language and delving into the history of domestication of cats (which in and of itself is a joke because we didnt actually domesticate cats), as well as another 3 nonfiction books about cats. also i was literally tearing up thinking about how much i love cats.
me, now: okay im willing to admit that i love cats more than most people.

So, until I get the time and patience to make an about me page, Here’s the long and short of it.
I’m 19, agender (they/them pronouns) aroace, Canadian, and studying engineering at university. I like to read and write, and can be found on ao3 a SilverMoon53. I enjoy biking, running, camping, and kayaking.
My current fandoms include: Steven Universe, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Voltron, IZombie, Agents of SHIELD, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Shadowhunters (the TV show, I keep meaning to read the books but can’t find the time). There’s probably more but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head.
I’m not going to discourse on this blog (I might make a separate one for that down the road, we’ll see how it goes) but I want to make my stances known so people who disagree can stay away. Aces and aros are LGBT+, and I’m aggressively pro-choice. There’s probably more of these too, but those are the main two.

Facebook DOES collect the text you decided against posting
Facebook collects all content that is typed into its website, even if it is not posted, a tech consultant has discovered.
In December 2013, it was reported that Facebook plants code in browsers that returns metadata every time somebody types out a status update or comment but deletes it before posting.
At the time, Facebook maintained that it only received information indicating whether somebody had deleted an update or comment before posting it, and not exactly what the text said.
However, Príomh Ó hÚigínn, a tech consultant based in Ireland, has claimed this is not the case after inspecting Facebook’s network traffic through a developer tool and screencasting software.
‘I realised that any text I put into the status update box was sent to Facebook’s servers, even if I did not click the post button,’ he wrote on his blog yesterday.
Referring to the GIF he created below, he found that a HTTP post request was sent to Facebook each time he wrote out a status, containing the exact text he entered.
‘This is outright Orwellian, and inconvenient,’ he said. ‘Since I am now aware of this, I am more cautious about what I enter into the text area.
‘However I can’t help but notice the adverse effect of my new found awareness ― am I experiencing the censorship of my own thoughts because of a faceless entity such as Facebook that doesn’t care about you? I very much believe that is the case.’
There is nothing in Facebook’s Data Policy that directly alludes to the fact that it collects content that is written but not posted.
However, the general ambiguity under the heading ‘What kinds of information do we collect?’ makes it unclear, such as: ‘We collect the content and other information you provide when you…create or share. This can include information in or about the content you provide.’
One thing is certain: most Facebook users do not expect the company to collect the text they decided against sharing.
The company faced a backlash in 2009 when it removed part of a clause that promised to expire the license it has to a user’s ‘name, likeness and image’, which it uses for external advertising, if they remove content from the site.
Following a protest campaign, it returned to the previous terms of use. However, it’s unclear what rights Facebook has over content that is not posted.

4. I like anime and manga. I read more manga cause reading, yay. Art, yay. Anime now seems like a gateway into passivity of unending stationary watching of doomed destiny. Wish i could spend more time on it. My favorites are DRRR!!, Magi and the labyrinth of magic (+sinbad's adventure), Daily Life of High School Boys, and Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai!.
currently stuck with Shoukugeki no Soma, Switch Girl, and Yamada-kun...somethin something.
5. So I frequent FANIME in San Jose these years, four years running now. And to say it's fun. You lot should go, but ouch that ticket price OW
6. One day i wanna open a booth in the artist alley. preferably fanime but i'll start small.
7. Saying that, i do art. Sorta. Not too good tho.
8. do some writing to. it's to never be spoken of.
9. i liek duh kpop. Mostly INFINITE. cause ellen got me into it COUGH you suck. I'm quite proud to say I'm kinda(?) spreading inft around. only cause that's pretty much the only group i wanna know. So much work looking at the other groups. I mean, there's coolio peeps but ughhhh learning names again. that cycle. lazy.
10. I went to INFINITE's One Great Step concert in San Jose. Pretty big deal, lots of money, me wallet cried. I bought a jacket even tho my mom said not to. Shhh. I really really loved seeing Infinite live. It wasn't soul wrenching like some fans, i didn't cry in sheer ecstasy or have over the top screaming (eh see what i did? ok bye.) Naturally, I just enjoyed the concert. Regret not going closer, but still it was amazing. (they're REAL)
11. I sleep a lot. Not cause i have a chronic disorder or whatever, it's just cause I enjoy sleeping.
12. I would like to visit Japan once again in my life. It's amazing.
13. Games are fun. I love love LOVE Pokemon. Not competitive or actual pro, but you know, an avid fan and common player. Recently i got into Persona, more precisely persona 3. Super smash is great, I'm Mario Kart licensed.
14. I wear mostly black because it's annoying to try on clothes in the shop and the like. My outfits are relatively the same, i do jazz it up with different shirts no one ever sees but i amuse myself with. I have 3 hats, planning on broadening this collection. I like wearing hats.
15. I love to collect stationary and nice, fine pencils!
16. CATS. i really like cats. I have two, Linmong the tannish tabby who is a little coward but big in heart. And Pudding, a mixed Siamese with a lot of dare and hype.
17. I feel responsible when things go wrong. I know when i do something wrong. I cry when people ask me if I'm okay, i don't know why it just triggers. And I like to laugh a lot. But when I'm tired, i wanna sleep like normal peeps. My "I don't speak unless spoken to" game is strong when I'm in a new environment. I'm not good at comforting people. I don't like it when people try to play the "I've got it hard" pity party. i try not to curse so much.
18. I guess horror is something i can't take well. I have high superstitions.
19. college is coming up and I'm at lost on where to go. There isn't any particular college i want to attend but i wish to major, maybe, in english or art. So a character designer, animation storyboard something like that; illustrator. Or a english major with creative writing on the side or something boring. Idk wut i want as a job pls lemme just life. Photography??
