Set (Seth/Setesh/Sutekh)

domain: formerly Deshret (the red land, the desert), post banishment he roamed everywhere outside Egypt/Kemet but did not control a domain

element: wind

powers include: able to make his voice so loud it breaks things, creator of thunderstorms and other extreme weather, unbelievably strong even by godly standards, immune to Apep’s magic and venom

symbols: Sah (the animal he is apparently supposed to be, which may or may not have ever existed), coil of un-cuttable rope, scepter that only he can lift, donkey

Set is the god/netjer of chaos.  Chaos meaning unrest, disorder, disturbance.  He’s always been an outsider, even before his banishment.  The black sheep of the divine family.  He is one of the four Children of Nut- the gods Ra entrusted with ruling the mortal world.  When he was originally banished, Set did not have a human form.  As none of the netjer have seen him take this form, they do not recognize him on sight.  They’re kind of silly that way.

Horus (Hor, Heru, Haroeris)

domain: the sky, the horizon, Kemet (black land, aka Egypt)

symbols: eye of horus, falcon, sun and moon together, double crown,

powers: tireless flight, can cast his sight anywhere by looking through the sun and moon, can create servants out of fire

Horus is the son of Isis and Osiris, and is king of the gods.  He achieved this by winning the throne from Set, who was ruling in the absence of Osiris.  He is usually benevolent, but is a dangerous force when angered.  Horus tries his best, but can’t help worrying whether he’s as good a king as his father.  He knows about as much as your dad does about technology (unless your Dad works in IT) and constantly needs things explained to him.  Horus has many children.  More than he remembers having, which is odd.  In fact, there are a lot of things Horus doesn’t remember.  It’s probably fine.
