summary of what ive been up to from 2019-2026

2019: shortly after posting some of my last les mis arts I got fired from my job at the time

2020-2021: 1 month later, got hired at a place that ended up setting my career back by 3 years. joined the genshin fandom 🥴 pandemic happened and I was stuck there until...

2022: I got hired at my present job! I'm a data analyst.

2023: discovered how fun cosplay and cons were! I went to anyc. it was my first "real" vacation since all ive been able to do earlier was shovel whole paychecks into my student loans.

2024: continuation of 2023. I traveled a lot for cons. but my sense of self worth kind of took a hit after some personal events. I also realized here that I didn't know how to socialize and that I was in danger of losing my job again because I still couldn't let go of stuff that happened in 2020-2021. oh well, at least I learned how to sew. I made this costume of edmond from nu carnival :o

2025: the first year I really started to feel like myself again in a long time. I did some more really involved cosplays, like edelgard from 3h (who has a lot of parallels with enjolras...in my future art of him you will see it LOL)

and then I joined my local egl comm and made a lot of friends. ive never had an irl friend group like this before. I love wearing theatrical styles.

so that's kind of where I'm at now. How have you been?
