Bio
Dutch was born in 1855 and primarily raised by his mother. His father had died during the civil war, which left the small family wanting. They never really lived beyond their means, but Dutch decided he was destined for greater things. Big things.
He left home at fifteen; fed up with dealing with his mother’s rules and regulations. They two had long since seen eye to eye, so Dutch set off to follow his own path. Dutch quickly set on to a life of crime, where his charm and silver tongue was well suited.
This is how he met Hosea Matthews- and he learned that it’s damn hard to con a con man. From here, they join forces and call themselves the Van Der Linde gang. Along the ways, they picked up Arthur Morgan, a young teen orphaned and alone on the streets. From there, slowly more people joined them- and they became a formidable force.
They strove to steal only from those who had more than enough- and help those who really needed it. At least - that’s the picture Dutch painted for those who followed his lead.
