Personality:
Noah is a rambunctious, happy-go-lucky dude with too much energy. His vices are many, including but not limited to: drugs and alcohol, sex and lovers, gambling, reckless driving, junk food, and shopping. Noah is a kind-hearted individual who harbors as much hope and love for people, even strangers, as he harbors puppy-like excitement. Noah talks a lot, and he tends to mix metaphors and phrases, bending the English language to his whim. He is spontaneous and outgoing but most of all he is open and agreeable, willing to try anything one, and most likely to decide he likes it after he’s tried it. Noah’s kind heart is only overshadowed by his ego and eccentrics, he often feels unseen and misunderstood but combats this feeling with becoming overly eager and jovial. His ever-present smile, in truth, masks deep remorse and sorrow.
Biography:
[Allow Me to Introduce Myself… Mr. Right]
My name is Noah. Philipe Dupont is my father and I respect him a lot for everything he has taught me. I try not to hold the whole “abandoning me with nothing but a stupid key for the first 14 years of my life" thing against him. (That was a joke, I think.) I grew up in New York but I love to visit New Orleans, especially the French Quarter- it’s about as close as I can get to my true French culture (and a kid like me takes what he can get). I’m actually rather impulsive and daring, if I do say so myself, but I also do a lot of meditation and tai chi to help keep calm so my powers don’t go crazy.
[Have you seen my powers?]
Noah is called Element because of his mutant ability to produce and manipulate the four elements: Earth, fire, water, and air. By extension, Noah has discovered an ability to manipulate blood and electricity, although these aspects of his powers prove more dangerous than the others. Earth takes the most effort, but is easily manipulated. Fire is easily produced but the hardest to manipulate. Water is the hardest to produce and the easiest to manipulate. Air takes almost no effort, but is harder to control.
[The Epic Love Story of Andrew and Noah]
Noah was an orphan for the entirety of his childhood and grew up with a roommate, Jonathan, whom he now refers to as his brother and best friend. In the orphanage, which he often refers to as “the home”, he became close with other children including: Jasmine, Amelia, Hunter, Taylor, and Andrew. For two years they all lived together, the year Noah turned 15, they shared their last summer together. When Andrew was brought to the home under the suspicion that his father was physically and sexually abusing him; he was made Noah and Jonathan’s new roommate and they all became very close. Over the course of a year the Andrew and Noah entered into a secret relationship. From ages 12 to 14, they went on secret walks together away from the others, hiding their love from everyone but each other. Then on Noah’s 14th birthday they decided to have sex for the first time. A few weeks after this they broke up because Andrew believed Noah reminded him too much of his father and he couldn’t cope. After that, everyone got moved around and Noah eventually fell out of touch with everybody. He thinks of Andrew often and wishes to find him again, one day, later in life. Perhaps things will be better by then.
[The Brothers’ Grim Tale]
Noah’s birth was almost 2 months earlier than his due date… Philipe Dupont had gone out “teh take care of t’ings” which really meant he was going to kill whomever had grown suspicious enough to stalk the Dupont family. Almost ten minutes after Philipe left Chevy alone with his mother, the contractions started, and after one short hour of labor Noah was born and given the name Caddie. The mother of the two young boys bled out with no medical care during the birthing process… having seen it all, Chevy grew convinced that it was the baby who had killed his mother and devised to kill his premature brother. It was these dark and raw emotions that triggered Chevy’s mutant powers: the ability to raise the dead. His mother’s reanimated corpse rose and cradled her newborn son in loving arms. “I don’t want him here!” Chevy shouted at the gruesome body of his mother. “Of course not.” It said to him with robotic obedience, and walked the baby with super speed to New York, New York where she left him at an orphanage, and dropped to the ground dead. So Noah, who would have been named Caddie, never met his brother nor did he learn the truth of what happened to his mother and father.
Powers:
Elemental Manipulation:
The Elements:
Fire:
Noah finds it most difficult to produce fire and it is also difficult to control but with considerable practice any many mistakes, Noah is able to produce and manipulate flames and strikes with his hands feet and mouth. The key to controlling his fire is controlling the air around it.
Air:
Noah does not need to produce air as it is all around him on Earth though he wagers if he were in space he could figure out how to produce oxygen. This would take months of practice, maybe longer. Air is the easiest element to manipulate as it already flows freely and has no shape.
Water:
Water is fairly difficult to produce depending on the moisture in the air if there is no access to water nearby but Noah has mastered this and, were he stranded in the desert, he’d be able to pull moisture from the environment around him despite its dry, aridness. Water is also fairly difficult to manipulate but when mastered, is one of the more useful and powerful elements.
Earth:
Earth does not need to be produced as it is beneath our feet at all times, and yet it is the most difficult to manipulate with efficiency and speed. Earth, Noah considers, moves slowly unlike fire and wind. It takes considerable concentration for Noah to move the earth around him.
Blood: Using a combination of earth and water manipulation, Noah hyper-focuses on the iron in one’s blood and the water of inside one’s body, and manipulate the positioning of one’s body. He can do much worse things, like slow the flow one’s blood and bring them to a state of unconscious or even a death-like state.
Electricity: Noah doesn’t quite understand how he has manipulated lightning and does not think he can produce it. He has had exactly 2 encounters with lightning none of which went over well.
Skills:
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Hand-to-hand combat is a physical confrontation between two or more persons at short range (grappling distance or within the physical reach of a handheld weapon) that does not involve the use of ranged weapons. The phrase "hand-to-hand" sometimes include use of melee weapons such as knives, swords, clubs, spears, axes, or improvised weapons such as entrenching tools.
Family:
Philipe Dupont - Noah’s estranged, biological father.
Ariel Dupont - Noah’s biological mother who died in the process of giving birth to him. [DECEASED]
Chevrolet Dupont - Noah’s biological, older brother, who goes by “Chevy”.
Team Mates:
Jarome Blakely - Team Legacy’s leader, Cassius is his most loyal team member and thusly gains special rights and responsibilities as Second-In-Command. Cass is also the only one who’s powers can compliment Jarome’s. When Jarome goes deep into the astral plane, Cass establishes a psychic link with him to ensure his safe return to the corporeal world.
Cassius Murdock - Second-In-Command for good reason, Cass also could sense Biron’s pain and anguish and played a major diplomatic role in Biron’s acceptance onto the team.
Biron Bostaligni - The fourth and final member of Team Legacy, Biron was taken in after being sensed by Cass through his empathy. Cass felt compassion and sent Jarome to find him and help him through his psychological break down. Shortly after this endeavor, Biron joined Team Legacy.
Allies:
Poe, Akimi - Noah's crush who was a close friend to Noah at first, but slowly pulled away, having chosen Cass as the one she wished to be with it.
Poe, Ruki - Akimi’s father and one of the trainers at The Academy, Ruki’s loyalties truly lie with his daughter and if her loyalties should ever shift away from Team Legacy, his would surely follow.
Harvard - Although Harvard and Noah didn’t interact very often at first, the two became allies rather quickly after coming to an understanding: Noah could best Harvard using his powers, and Harvard could best Noah without Noah’s powers in play. This forged their mutual respect.
Lovers:
Andrew Golden - Noah's childhood best friend and first love. [DECEASED]
Kelsey Abraham - Noah's first serious boyfriend.
