HAI 💙 I ADORE your writing, you are my go to for reading headcanons and fics!
I was hoping you could do a headcanon with Two face, Ridder or Scarecrow (I don’t mind which one, or all if you want to) where the Reader wants to test some of their lipstick on them to see if it’s kiss proof and how said rogues would respond. And if yes, how would it go!
Kind of like that one Archie pin up comic, if you know what I’m talking about 💙💙💙💙
Unfortunately I don't know the comic, but I think I get what you mean! I'm a little rusty, so I hope I do it all justice, especially after your kind words and how cute this idea is! 🥹 Honestly I'd be up to do this for other Rogues too!! Also, happy new year!
PAINTED KISSES — VARIOUS ROGUES HEADCANONS
TWO FACE
Harvey and Harv would ADORE their partner sitting on their lap, talking about the new shades they'd gotten, hands on your thighs or waist as they listen.
Harvey would love to hear you talk about all the new shades you'd bought, letting you interrupt your own ramblings so you can test it with a few pecks to his cheek or lips, so he can return the favour to pressing a kiss to your knuckles. He'd sit there grinning, in his gentlemanly awe. In truth, he likes the lipstick you wear that leaves the imprint of your lips on his skin, or the notes you leave him. But, seeing you happy makes him happy. He thinks every shade suits you. And he tells you after every peck.
“That shade is so pretty on you, it works really well with your eyes. And it hasn't smudge even a little, either, Darling.”
Harv is the one making the comments on what shades suit you best; he prefers the more sophisticated colours, the darker shades of red and brown, plum, even black — but his favourite is the bold cherry coloured one. He's the one pressing kisses to your lips and pulling away with a grin, asking if any smudged onto him, knowing damn well that it hasn't. He's eager to talk about what shades would work best with what outfits, talking about when the next big event comes up, how you get to show it off.
“I like that one Doll, the red looks dangerous. Suits you. It'd look even better with what you got yourself for that gala.”
RIDDLER
At first, Edward would be annoyed. He has far too many more pressing matters to attend to — when you describe it as smudge proof and in desperate need to make sure that the company hadn't lied, he dismisses it by telling you to try it on a paper towel. He's a little lost in his own world to pick up on what you mean.
However, a quick smush of your lips against his is enough to snap him out of his scheming. He'd realise your motive when he'd see you beaming up at him all smug once you'd pull away. Of course, now that he understands what you wanted, who is he to deny you of testing your precious product?
Edward has always preened under your affections, grinning from ear to ear so those dimples would be on full display, offering his face to you like a canvas on an easel. He doesn't usually enjoy close proximity, unless it's praise from you. And what's being your choice to be a affectionate-recieving-test-subject, if not praise? Though, he does remember not only to focus on the warm fuzzy feeling in his chest, he remembers to make sure you feel just as pretty as you look. And ask questions about the lipstick.
“Whereas that colour does flatter you Dear, I think you would look even more ravishing in green. Perhaps you could buy those shades tomorrow and we can test them as well?”
SCARECROW
Jonathan isn't always an affectionate person. And it isn't just because of the spooky potato sack he wears at night — he was taught that affection is freely given to people who deserve it, and he's still learning that you find him worthy of yours. So, he knows when you sit there, applying different shades of lipstick, that this is your way of making him more comfortable with such open displays of love. And he loves it.
He would sit there, on his old canvas sofa-chair, with a lopsided smile on those tired features, watching as you ramble on about all the different bonuses of wearing kiss-proof lipstick, how not only does it stay more vibrant for longer, but how the new formula uses less oils. That you just wanted to test the effectiveness. As well as the shades. He doesn't want you to know that he knows that you're just using this as an excuse, that you've used this brand before.
Instead, he'll sit there, murmuring soft comments as your kisses slowly inch from his cheeks to the corners of his chapped lips. And, if he's feeling particularly enamoured, he might encourage the next kiss to be one on the lips.
“I think yer might've missed a spot there, Pumpkin.”
