“Alucard…? I suppose… he’s rather hard headed. And a little brutal… and I guess he is a little too direct about his wants, to a point I’m sure he knows he’s being a dick about it…”

“But weirdly, he gives me the impression that he’s actually kind of sweet somewhere in there. And he’s probably one of the nicest men I’ve acquainted with in a while. That’s… problematic, I guess.”

“… I rather enjoy the time we spend together. He lets me be a monster, and seems to actually like what I can do. It’s rather rare to be appreciated for that, I’ve found… well, I guess I’m going on a bit. Sorry.”

“…” She has to reread this a few times. But then she smiles.

“How interesting that you’d choose to comment like this. Those men do tend to hang about, you don’t think they’ll see this? Aren’t you afraid of the ‘psychopaths and killers’?”

“I’m not going to deny it, if that’s what you’re looking for. All I’ll say in return is that a lot of the time, ‘good’ men aren’t actually interested in girls like me. They get frustrated that I don’t meet the high moral thresholds, and quite frankly, it’s exhausting playing that way for too long. Perhaps I do like a man who isn’t afraid to get his hands dirty to achieve his goals. Is there something wrong with that?”
