Mice wearing red.
There's a bit of a buzz over these small bjd dolls from Penny's Box. They come as a blind box, but are fairly inexpensive. A few people I know got them and they seemed cute, so I decided to give it a shot.
There are six different dolls in the "Antu Nature Wonderland" series. The only one I didn't particularly want was the 'sheep' girl (bottom left).
She came today, and I got the 'cow' girl. Being a Taurus, that seemed somehow appropriate. So, meet Responsible.
She's the first doll I've had with molded hair, and I wasn't sure if I was sold on it (you can get a backplate so she can wear a wig), but now that I've handled her, I like it. Between the size and not worrying about her hair, she looks like a perfect pocket doll, something I've been wanting for a while.
I've had this Jun Planning Ai doll (Lawn Daisy) from Tuesday Morning for ages and only recently realized that I should try some newer eyes in her. It's amazing the difference they make. She keeps me company on my work desk.
Some of the eyes by @queenofsquids found their way into the Hujoo Freya!
...so now I need to figure out how to strip the paint off of the ABS Hujoo body (yes I know Windsor & Newton brush cleaner is usually suggested for hard plastics, but I don’t have any, and it seems to be Not Good with Hujoo plastic, so no) so I can repaint her to better suit the eyes.
And then I tried on the wig that I hadn’t liked on the Hestia
and maybe not this wig, but maybe a wig will be in her future, too

Phoebe got a faceup! She’s looking adorable ❤️
Just needs some shoes, and maybe a hat.
I thrifted stack of 4½” cotton print broadcloth squares about 4 years ago; I’d combined lots of the cloth into dresses for Etsy, then set aside the remaining squares--with several more sets of coordinating prints sorted out--in the back of one of the doll cloth drawers, forgotten until fairly recently. I decided to try using some of the combinations for the burst of thanks sewing I’m doing now, starting with these...but...they turned out a bit too bulky for the Barbie-size dress skirt they were intended to be, and...ah...frankly...I just loved the overall look of this combination and decided to make it into a skirt for Valeska (MSD-size) and, y’know...keep it... (and then I ‘had’ to make a quick petticoat to go under it.)
I have already made a thanks dress with another combination of the thrifted prints, so it’s not all selfish sewing!
Finally got Stella outside to the trees across the drainage ditch in her “Oops, Accidentally Made A RPG Character Outfit” outfit, which...is considerably better camouflage than I expected...
Her face up is by RetrogradeWorks/ @axelspark (And yes this set of eyes is too big, but that last picture is, like, the only angle you notice. I was just happy to get light in to show the color.)
