What was the first kiss between Hermes and Tiresias like? (if there was one)
it was...very sweet, I think. Hermes had been giving them 'air pecks' for a while, because he didn't want to cross any boundaries, but Tiresias was just hearing quick little pucker sounds with no context every so often, and not understanding what the hell they were.
Hermes fluttered over his lover, briefly spinning his caduceus in his hand. "Alright, well, it’s been fun, darling, but I really must get going now. Cheers."
He leaned over their head, and blew them a small air kiss, as he had taken to as a kind of regular goodbye gesture. He didn't want to cross any boundaries- as close and comfortable as he and the prophet had gotten, Hermes was still hesitant to fly too close to the sun like that upstart fellow Icarus.
Tiresias tilted their head up, as if looking at him. "What was that?"
Hermes paused. "What was...what?"
"That noise you keep making." Tiresias attempted to imitate the puckering sound, and somehow it sounded like a baby bird being choked. "What is it?"
"Oh." Hermes fluttered back down, a smirk flickering on his lips. "An air kiss, of course.”
"Yes. I'm blowing you a kiss." Hermes did it again.
Tiresias waited a beat, before murmuring, "I don't feel it."
"Well, you're not supposed to, darling."
Hermes hesitated, a little surprised by their blunt tone. "Er..."
"Why not do it properly?" Tiresias stepped closer. "Let me feel it."
Hermes had not felt this caught off-guard since a winion had hidden in his cloak to play princess dress-up. Without an answer, he stared uselessly, until Tiresias took pity on him and reached out. When Hermes took their hand, his prophet pulled him in closer, following the sound of his breaths and placing their face inches away from his.
Hermes only hesitated a moment before pressing a kiss to their pale cheekbone. It lingered, just for a moment, before Hermes pulled away again.
"A-alright, well, I really must be going now. Messages to deliver, things to do!" He dropped his hands and launched into the air, disappearing before he could even consider how he was leaving his lover so abruptly.
Tiresias stood there for a moment longer, before hearing the quiet rustle of footsteps. Light, but slow. Karalos spoke up a moment later.
"What was that?" The sailor stopped beside them, and from the way his voice angled, they could tell he was looking up, watching Hermes leave. Tiresias wished they had the same pleasure. "Everything alright over here?"
"Yes...yes, quite." Tiresias began using their staff to tap their way back to their usual spot, a smile on their lips. I think I'll ask him to do that again, when he returns...
