Junior Jam 2016
Last Saturday I went with the Why Aint you Jibbin team to Westendorf, Austria for my first ever European Competition.
I was really excited but nervous too !
We arrived and registered and had some practice runs. We decided what runs I was going to do and I waited for my turn.
The other girls all seemed older than me but I got on on with my runs and really enjoyed them.
The rest of the team rode awesome and we all had a great day.
It was soon prize giving time and I really did not know how I had done.
I was SUPER STOKED when they shouted my name in 2nd Place - I didn't realise at the time that it was in the UNDER 16 category !! I thought I was in the under 13's.
It was a great day, sunny and I had great fun.
Here are some photos and links to the event.
Thanks to all my sponsors for their support and to the awesome WAYJ team for being amazing coaches !!
JUNIOR JAM 2016 - RESULTS
AUSTRIA PART 1 !
I have just got back from 3 weeks in Austria with #whyaintyoujibbin and had a brilliant time.
There was not much snow at first and it was a bit icy but I still had great fun hitting the kickers and pulling out some awesome tricks!
Then the snow came ! There was loads of it and I got to ride lots of POW... it was great fun - i got stuck one day up to my waist it was that deep, i got out eventually but it was hard work!
I loved riding my new Salomon Gypsy it is AMAZING and the combination of that and my FLUX TT bindings equalled great fun and lots of speed.
We got to swimming in an outdoor pool and the video pizza nights were brilliant. The house is so cool its huge you could get lost in it and it was great to share a room with some of my mates.
Didn't get many photos out on the slope as my mum and dad were not there and I was too busy doing loads of really cool stuff but there will be plenty when I go back out in February.
I can't wait to go back out, got loads of stuff that I want to do when I'm out and can't wait to get back on the mountains. In the meantime its back to school and PT training at home.
Keep your eyes peeled for my updates in Austria Part 2 - you won't be disappointed.
Here are some fun pictures I did manage to get whilst I was away... enjoy :)
Getting ready for Winter
WOW - its nearly time for me to get on the mountain and I can not wait - it is going to be sick.
It's going to be super fun and I have loads of exciting new things to look forward to whilst I am away.
I have been busy getting ready for winter and have done loads of climbing to get fitter and stronger and have been working super hard with my PT Mark - got my last session this week and I am going to kill it !
I have been having great fun on The Boobytrap sessions and trying some new tricks on the rails.
Here are some pictures of the last few weeks - I even did the wall in 15 seconds flat and bunny hopped to 4.5 metres in the climbing centre.
I have been practising in the foam pit and loving my trampolining - this winter is going to be awesome so keep your eyes peeled for updates and blogs on all my social media.
12/13 Never Summer Proto CT reviewed at the Snowboard Test earlier this year in Kaunertal, Austria. The review is done by Jonny from Absolute Snow (one of our stockists). This is a really great review with loads of detail on the tech involved and also how this board is to ride. A little biased perhaps, as Jonny loves this board so much he bought one for himself last season! Given that he gets to test every board on the market pretty much - it just goes to show how great a board it is!
