Charn can't even pretend to look at Tinn as he lies to him. Because he can't. Because he loves him so much he's goiong to burst with it, because he'd forgotten what is meant to have someone not just matter but also care about him and fight for him.
He's trying so hard to be the old version of himself for just another moment but he can't. He's lost that part of himself entirely. It's gone and it won't come back.
But he has to be alone. He has to solve this without putting anyone else in danger. All he realized was that he could still tell Tin he loved him while leaving him behind. Even if it nearly broke him.
Because Charn is sure it will be. Everything will be okay without him. Because he will do what he has to do to make things right. And, this time,he won't lose himself... because himself is what he's prepared to sacrifice.
