After a bit of research and help from you guys, I think I came to the conclusion that the woman on horseback depicted in this image isn’t necessarily anyone in particular although horseback falconry was popular in medieval times and Anne Boleyn was an advocate. I love the carving which I’ve managed to reproduce in the style of a wax seal and I’ve used one of my favourite colour combinations from childhood- purple and turquoise (like the hard candy lollipops). The epoxie sculpt with concrete worked well and I’m thrilled with the tiny ceramic glaze discs (are they glaze samples?) I found at the car boot sale. I’ve framed them I sterling silver which I’ve hammered and oxidised and finished them with (also upcycled) ceramic glaze beads in candy floss and caramel which in an abstract way look like birds. . . . #medievalearrings #anneboleyn #horsebackfalconry #abstractearrings #ceramicjewelry #potteryearrings #tudorrose #ceramicglaze #primitivejewelry #artassemblage (at Harrowby, Lincolnshire) https://www.instagram.com/p/CSG71seAGIp/?utm_medium=tumblr
