Hanari is a fox, loosely based on Kitsune... she has the ability to create illusions with varying levels of realness. she works in the spa part of the BnB on the ranch, specializing in nail and haircare. she's pretty flirtatious as well- she has a soft spot for over the top stories, the taller the tale, the more she likes it. she's pretty picky about who she actually lets have her though and is prone to making fake versions of herself to trick patrons into thinking she's in one place, while she's actually in another. she uses this ability to basically sacrifice other workers to said patrons hahaha.
but she does enjoy a good hunt- if a patron can manage to hurt her down properly she'll relent. if she especially doesn't want anything to do with you, she can trap you in a fake maze where the only way out is to find the real hana n basically fuck her brains out : p but if you get the wrong hana... you might just end up hooked up to some milker with a fake hana sucking you off- only to "wake up" hours later when the illusions wear off.
Vivika, a bee that has addictive honeylike fluids. kisses can leave people aroused, actually fucking her puts whoever is doing it into a mindless rut where they cannot stop until they're exhausted, removed, or vivi pushes them away. the honey she produces there needs to be washed off immediately, but effects of it will last up to an hour afterward anyway. she also lactates a honey-like substance that is a less potent form of that- all of her fluids are highly addictive. rhonan uses her to keep the rest of the ranch suitably horny and cloudy-minded with hiding doses of the stuff in their food or lubricant stocks around the ranch. he also uses her to help break in new workers, since they usually end up so horny they'll do whatever he wants to get some relief.
they were once partners, but she ended up falling victim to her own powers and he had her memory wiped by kjetna, so now even if she snaps out of her stupor she won't remember anything about their partnership.
despite having such a controlling power, she's really not that pushy at all. vivi is bubbly and friendly, she tends to forget things easily, and doesn't really exert a lot of control over other people without someone else pushing her to do so. she's also pretty clumsy.
Kirzen, a black widow spider. he doesn’t actually join the ranch until much later, after rhonan is killed and peachi gets to be the “owner” (she doesn’t actually own the ranch but all the easily accessed paperwork has her and hyde’s names on it). he’s partly Ettera’s assistant in the marketing sphere of things, particularly with upper class society. he has a mutation that left 2 sets of grublegs after putation. they are mobile and pretty sensitive at the bases. he’s flirty and humorous, likes to press people’s buttons but not so much as to make them mad.
Adrinn, a hawk... : p he has truesight, so he can see through any illusions or mind tricks. he and hana don't always get along because he usually rats her out. he's a true switch, doesn't matter what position he's in as long as he's having fun. a pot stirrer, and always acts stupider than he actually is. he doesn't like having a bunch of expectations or responsibilities put on him so he ususally does things poorly on purpose to escape having to do them again if he doesn't want to do it... doesn't always work for him though.
Thisle, a hornet. she's a tomboy, usually wearing baggy clothes and often gets mistaken for a boy or androgynous person. she does like feminine things but has absolutely no sense of ladylike behavior hahaha. she's usually out in the gardens near the apiary so she's almost always dirty from that. pretty blunt, definitely a country girl... always up for a challenge. she has pheromones that change effect based on how she's feeling- she can amplify feelings in other people or try and bend them to what she wants.... she's not always in control of it.
Fenmos, a wolf. He’s serious, stoic, doesn’t really talk that much. while rhonan is in charge he’s sort of a last line to keep residents in place- once he’s got someone’s scent, he can always find them, no matter where they go. every so often he’ll have an “off night” where his personality seems to flip and he becomes aggressive and insatiable - it only lasts one night and he’s back to normal, albeit tired, the next night. he remembers these bouts. he and hana have an on-and-off, pale-sometimes-red relationship.
