wip gonna delete later but just a scene of killshot!phoenix i coudlnt get out of my head

basically i brought up the idea that heroes/sidekicks+trainee’s all have “notes” on them (about their abilities, personality, etc) on their files. 

for example one of hangman’s could be: “has a tendency to leave allies behind in pursuit of a target/enemy”

so i thought like one of phoenix’s could be something like: “emotions cause meta abilities to flare up, exercise extreme caution when meta is under intense emotional stress” (see: 1993 incident)

or in short: “intense emotions cause meta to become a danger to herself and others.”

Sorry u might have talked about this before but are u gonna keep writing killshot? (I'm assuming u won't but gotta be sure u know) I really need to know if I start reading or not, cuz it says it's supposed to have 35 chapters and it has 14??? And the last update was 2 years ago so 💀 I might read it either way but I need to know if there's gonna be more 😭

also hi yes hello, I actually am gonna finish it! I have a couple chapters finished that need editing! I'm rly just a very tired and sick person and life sort of ran me over those last couple years but! If you've got the patience to wait for further updates, I definitely mean to finish it because it's one of my favorite things to write!

I just wanna say that I really enjoy your writing and world-building. Your magic au impresses me with how you manage to imply just enough to establish this broader world. Unfortunately, killshot has set the bar so high that I struggle a bit to read other long form fics without reminiscing on it and inevitably rereading bits and pieces- like a favorite novel that you randomly remember and reread your favorite parts of. Sorry if this wasn’t coherent or cohesive- I just wanted to show this reader’s appreciation for your craft. Best regards!

THANK YOU??? NO THIS IS PERFECT I LOVE IT SO MUCH, honestly though. I've been having such a hard time irl and trying to find the motivation to come back to writing after so long, this means a lot to me. Unfortunately I'm one of those serotonin-motivated animals that needs treats to keep doing tricks (the trick in question being writing). Killshot is still very much my beloved project.

Also very funny 'reminiscing on it' because I very much! intend on continuing it! Just had to take a bit of a hiatus because ✨life ✨ but to me it's like "I can still hear his voice...." while the three already written chapters are staring intently at me from the depths.

But thank you so so much for this ;; I don't know what I've done to deserve it but I'm really glad my writing feels like that to someone!

The final scene of chapter 1, when Bradley and Ice are hugging and seeing each other after five years, then Mav comes in. <3 I just love this silly little family.

The fight scene between Mav & Bradley that I'm also rewriting in further detail, there's just something about it I really like!

The fight scene between Rooster & Hangman at the Academy, I actually really enjoy writing action scenes! They're hard but I find that if I'm good enough at it, they come out super nice!
