Locomalito is a well known name in the circles of developers that go for the “new classic video games” (as he calls retro games himself), ever since his 2010 debut Hydorah that was so old school and damn hard everyone in our office was going mad about it.
Locomalito is also known for having all of his games free on his website, under creative commons, including Hydorah. It’s Windows only, however, the Spanish developer and indie publisher Abylight is now bringing an improved version, Super Hydorah, to Xbox One and it’s also been greenlit on Steam.
