why is it that people are allergic to shipping? like, i understand that it's just not your thing: you're aromantic, you don't understand it, it's genuinely just not your thing, etc. but like...

shipping has always been a multifaceted thing.

you can ship characters cause you jerk yr peantus to it, you can ship cause its comfort, you can ship cause it's not comforting and a vent ship, you can ship cause you id as one character and selfship with another.

you can also ship because story element and character analysis. which i feel like a lot of people forget.

you can ship characters Just Because they'd be good together narratively. or 'what if' scenarios.

that's why i hate the "mouthwashing is a fandom that doesnt need ships" cause 1.) it's the internet, it'll happen and 2.) it does actually, cause ... not only is that what fandom does, but it's a starter for good story concepts and character personality analysis.

like. i see the sentiment that you shouldn't ship [x] with [y] cause its abuser x victim or whatever and it's like. man. let people express themselves. let people explore fucked up things in fiction. it's healthy.

I hate so much people that just assume Jimmy was hated on the tulpar from the start. Like no mother fucker they were on that ship for a few months before he decided to rape Anya and crash the ship, it’s not like the fucker planned it out.

when I see people draw Jimmy it’s this consistent hate from the crew even before the rape and it’s like. You do know Jimmy was literally best friends with curly right, you do know he was a coworker first, right? You do know manipulative and dickish people aren’t always manipulative and dickish and can be genuine and just..idk..people.

why does this fandom boil his ass down STRICTLY to dickish asshole? He’s a lot more multifaceted. (Dont get me started on people boiling down Anya to just a victim, and weirdly babying daisuke? I’m not sure why they decided to do that, he’s a young adult 19+, probably 23 at the very oldest.)

the world was not ready for a game like this because they’re all way to fucking human. This is show a lot when it comes to curly. People make fucked up mistakes. People fuck up. That’s a fact of life.

I’ve seen better character analysis from jimcurly and jimanya shippers than anyone fucking else in this godforsaken fandom. Why is this fandom the world’s most annoying fandom. You can’t have fun, god forbid you fucking like the main character and antagonist (jimmy).

I hope this makes sense, cause I'm tired, but I do feel that the progressive ai helpers and chat bots in workplaces and the ones that market themselves to help small businesses are just making people more complacent with capitalism.

I saw an ad that had this premise of making this woman's work load easier and how she could "finally have lunch" and all I could think of was "wow I hate capitalism because if your job is so intense you can't even have a break what are you doing staying there". and then these ai bots will come in and "make it easier" as if it's some holy grail when all its doing is doing a half assed job (and even if it wasn't half assed I still wouldn't want it reading my shit and recycling it for later use) that you could spend an extra 15 minutes doing.

when I speak about jobs in this section I'm thinking of like..working fast food and doing shit like that. not being a doctor or archeology; those jobs are people's life and what I ramble about is contextual and nuanced. I'm tired and hate ai and capitalism ans just need to get shit off my chest, okay? don't kill me.

Not everything needs to be easy (this goes for a lot of things by the way, art and writing especially. genai prompters are cowards), the concept of work and having fucking job is boring (or it "should be") because it shouldn't be your life. you shouldn't live to work or work to live. you should live to experience and your job is not a part of it (and even if if is you need to find a way to exist outside of it).

I'll forever die on the hill that if you like a job/going to work then it's not a job/work because you actively like doing it and that is – in my opinion – community service you just so happen to get paid for. I'll also forever die on the hill that you're insufferable if you make your ENTIRE life your job. if you do nothing but get up and go to work with no hobbies or proof of existence in-between you are a slave to capitalism and need to get out of it.

take pictures of birds on your way to and from work to write down about when you get home, stop by the store on your way home and window shop to have something to look forward to, go home ans Google "fun facts about the weather", find a fun fact you've never heard about and research that topic and write down three bullet points about what you learned, fuck it dude look at a tree for a few minutes and try and see if you can figure out what kind it is. google it if you're stumped. there's a lot of tree species in the world.

I digress, it's really strange how these constant ai users think because using ai long term really changes your brain. I would know. i used character ai and janitor ai for years and it's ruined my ability to daydream properly like I used to. it's not the same as Google gemini helping you with your notes (which I have gripes with so much oh my god) or helping you with your job, but it's a percentage of a bigger pie chart of "why ai sucks and should die".
