Why Etsuko still bothered to even go outside of her dorm was,
to say the very least, a mystery. She hadn’t felt too good at all
over the last few weeks, and going outside to see other people
didn’t exactly help in the matter.
She had spent most of her time locked inside with the small
puppy that had randomly appeared at her doorstep, and just by
looking at her you’d notice that she’d certainly seen better days.
So, keeping low profile as she quietly roamed the halls, the very
last thing she’d expected was a fucking hug out of the complete
blue. She hadn’t even managed to see who it was that hugged her;
so of course, she ended up panicking for a moment, squirming and
wriggling around in the others embrace; letting out a quiet ‘eep!’.
But once she did finally turn her head slightly; she stopped in less
than a split second, and completely froze in place. Oh.
It was surprise for him that he managed to find Etusko romaing around the halls. He planned to knock on her dorm, but when he saw her walking just in front of him... Well, he couldn’t let her just walk away and not say anything. Maybe he could, but... It’s a bit difficult. A surprise hugged seemed genuine enough.
“The one and only Bard who would give you a random hug, after being gone for some time.”
Comparing to the other time the hitman appeared, you could clearly see that he was way more happier. His grin was back, he gained back the weight (and muscle mass) he had lost, and had the same happy expression from before. The exact same. Bard hesitated, thinking of something to say, but he was not capable of it now. The only sign was a light voice crack in his question.
“I hope you received my gift.”
