it had been a long day, but it wasn’t over yet because wooseok still needed to add the finish touches to a comic strip draft he had been working on. he isn’t sure he likes the style he's drawing in though, and it shows in his furrowed eyebrows as his pencil sketched across paper. he sighs and sets his art stuff down. he needs someone else’s opinion before he just decides to toss it altogether – something he did out of impulsion way too often. he decides to call up hani, and agrees to meet her out at a nearby cafe where they could help each other with their projects.
he finds a spot in the back of the cafe and settles in comfortably. he brought his sketchbook as well as his computer in case he decided to work on it digitally. he didn’t have to wait for long before hani came in, looking very cute in her casual sweater and jeans. both greet each other and order something to drink. after a few minutes of chatting they settle into their work. wooseok asks hani questions about his sketches and her advice is really solid, and helps him clear his mind about what to do for it.
they’ve only hung out a handful of times before, but wooseok seems to understand why jisoo likes her so much. she was easy to talk to, and wooseok finds her company pleasant. he compliments her art profusely. he really loves the way she draws. “wah... unnie... i wish i had the talent that you do.” and she only smiles, shoving his shoulder playfully.
after a few hours wooseok notices that the sun is starting to go down and he nudges hani gently. “we should probably start heading out. the cafe is gonna close soon.” hani nods and they both begin gathering their materials. he walks shoulders his backpack as they walk outside, only to be almost immediately drenched by the pouring rain that greets them. wooseok lets out a small cry when the cold water splashes against him. he looks down at hani, “thank you for meeting up with me! text me when you get home safe okay?” he quickly gives her a peck on the cheek, “bye!” he gives a small wave before beginning to quickly jog back home, praying his computer is safe in his backpack.
