yea i'm american and i think tango bullies zed's accent too much lol you go get back at him!!

Don't get me wrong it is absolutely hilarious when tango teases Zed about his accent especially cause Zed's got quite a posh accent (he got the southern to thing going on but I cant talk my accent is actually just a mess) but I can and will make fun of American accents sometimes.

The only people with a valid accents is Jack from Kris and jack, and every single hermits that speak English as a second language

If I gave you a clip of me saying stuff, would you talk about it? I'm from Manhattan but Spanish was my first language what words and phrases should I say I'll say them to my cat lol.

oh my gosh yeah sure! i mean i don’t know if it would be all that interesting or if i’d have anything super revolutionary to say lmfao but i would be super interested to hear it ;_____; i think the accent tag (there are a bunch of good versions of this) is a good example always!

Daisy is Brazilian and therefore speaks Portuguese so when speaking in English her accent is Spanish sounding, deffo not American sounding.

in american english it's definitely buh-SALT and i didn't know british people said it the way they do until i watched an xisuma snapshot video. idk why i'm telling you this you've probably gotten the same ask like ten times oops

pls tell me about chicago accents!!!! in hs my civics teacher told us we definitely have accents and I’ve been fucked up about it ever since

yes!!! (well technically EVERYONE has an accent.) but chicago/the great lakes area in general is pretty interesting because there’s a vowel chain shift associated with it. basically what this means is that one vowel changes in pronunciation, and then a bunch of other ones shift as a result of that. so the most noticeable effect of this would be the “fronting” of a vowels; the tongue starts in a place more forward in the mouth for speakers with this dialect, so you get some people in chicago saying words like “pot” more like how other speakers would say “pat.” the movement of these vowels’ pronunciations leave sort of “empty spaces” in the standard vowels, so other ones then get shifted accordingly towards those spaces

yeah! open o is one of the Pure Vowels tm so it’s really important for choir and stuff. it’s like somewhere between “ah” and “aw”
