BHS recognizes the value of having a mentor. In fact, the whole reason a community like BHS exists is because as founder and CEO, Rachel James was starting her career as a professional background vocalist, there wasn't really anybody who made themselves available to "show her the ropes." That came later in the persons of Stellar Award Winner & iconic gospel artist Darwin Hobbs along with Grammy award winning songwriter/producer Kevin Bond. Before them, there was no one to tell her what to do, how to be relevant for each varying opportunity or to teach her how her BRAND (the messages she communicates to those around her) could and would affect her disposition as an aspiring trailblazer in the musical community. That being the case, this new phase of BHS is designed to reach out and give back to individuals who have promising futures in this particular line of work. The idea is to allow access for one person at a time, to shadow Rachel and our other carefully selected professionals as they work with artists/producers in the studio to create the songs we know and love. They will learn hands on, how a song develops from an idea into an audible masterpiece from start to finish. In addition, participants will learn the values that Rachel has learned over the years, mostly through trial and error, that she has implemented into the very fabric of BHS: principles like character, integrity, excellence, humility, patience, confidence and more. All of these ideals have played a role in who she is today and how she remains a viable resource and an asset to those who work with her. Teaming up with her long time partner and entertainment industry administrative consultant, Aaron Adams of Accessible LLC, this new phase of BHS will provide a personal level of brand coaching that promises to benefit everyone who participates.
