Spot the Socially Inept

So, there’s a German exchange student at my school. Hella cute, but I've never really spoken to him. My last name is German, and it's easy to tell from all the sch’s and ch’s. I personally could never grasp German grammar because of the spelling.

Me:*logging into my Webwork, miss a c in my last name* Gosh darnit! I WOULD spell my own name wrong!

other calc student in my group: *blank look*

Me: To be fair to myself, there are a lot of letters to miss. It's German, so if that doesn't clue you in as to how many extra letters there are, I don't know what would.

German exchange student: *looks up.*

Me:*sudden remembrance that yes, that QT3.14 over there is, in fact, German*

a girl beside me who is clearly of Asian descent, and has been adopted: It’s all good, just going at a steady wiggle.....steady wiggle.(calculus affects the brain in strange ways)

Me:..............*sudden thought hits* Oh my God.

Asian adoptee: What?

Me:*trying desperately to keep my laughing to a minimum* In an Asian accent, “steady wiggle” sound like “steady we go”. Did you do that on purpose?

Asian adoptee:........no. I can’t say I know what an Asian accent really sounds like enough to do that.

Me:...*awkward silence as I return to my work*
