“I am turning twenty in a few weeks and I am not even engaged yet. This is a disaster!”
It was funny. If she and Zander were still together, the sight of that stupid tan trench coat being worn for a third time would have probably sent her into a rage instead of making her smile fondly. She excused herself from Darius and picked her way across the room to her ex-boyfriend. “You’re dressed as a Castiel,”She flashed her eyebrows and delivered a sarcastic but not bitter, “Gorundbreaking”
She eyed his lapels to make sure they were laying straight. “I like it though. It’s a classic. You look great. So is there a confused demon somewhere around here or a Dean Worcester? ”

"Are you ready to go? I just need to grab my coat and take my vitamins. Can you fill up a sports bottle from the cabinet with water for me? I haven’t gotten up to the liter I was supposed to drink the morning before the ultrasound. I’ll chug more in the waiting room.” She spoke while looking around the living room and then moving toward the bedroom on the search for the aforementioned coat since it was apparently not by the door. “I wouldn’t get your hopes up too high for a clear view of the baby today.” She knew she’d warned him of it before, but it kept coming up as self reminder. “He’s probably just going to be a little blob. We may not even be able to tell if we’re right that he’s a he yet.”

*He stands on the doorstep, a quiet, surprisingly shy Wyatt balanced on his hip, the little boy’s face buried in his shoulder; and when Colin comes to the door Tris’ face is set and determined.*
Mercy’s being ridiculous; and since she refuses to come here herself, I figured I’d do the legwork and save myself any more breath arguing with her.
Your son and I are going for ice cream. Do you want to come with us?

*She’s midway through reorganising a set of shelves behind the counter when the bell over the door goes; and she turns to look and see who’s entered, a soft, welcoming smile ready on her face.*
Bear with me a moment. I’ll be right with you.
Stage Fright || Hal & Alexzander
Again.
It was happening again.
And again Hal had frozen.
He couldn’t remember how he’d got here, with his back against an overturned table and heart hammering in his ears. Somewhere in the erupting chaos that had engulfed the gala, he had found himself there. His wand was clutched in his right hand, but it hadn’t been used, not yet. Now he was here he couldn’t bring himself to move. Rooted to the spot by the fear of what was happening beyond this tiny bubble of relative safety, but with a voice in him screaming that he should stand, stand and fight if he ever wanted to stand for anything.
But he kept seeing Olivier’s face in his mind, snarling at him, a twisted version of all the things he had said running through Hal’s head. What did he really think he could do against this seething hatred in the world? Had he really learnt anything about how to defend himself? Or had he just added to this spiralling rage. His wand hand shook violently, and the urge to close his eyes was almost overwhelming, but his survival instincts refused it. Some trembling electricity that refused to let him accept what was happening. “Hal get it together,” he chanted to himself. “Get it together. You can’t stay here.”
Night of the Gala
Fred needed to get to a Weasley. Or a Potter. The one thought that wouldn’t leave his mind was the worry that it was already too late for another member of his family. When he saw Victoire by herself, Fred immediately rushed over behind her and faced the other way so that he could stop anyone who tried to attack from behind. “Got your back,” he said, looking over his shoulder. He raised his wand and started firing off Disarming Charms at anyone who seemed to have a wand pointed in their direction. Most of them didn’t reach their targets in Fred’s panic and confusion, but he kept trying.
