I saw your tag about being the + in lgbt+, and another post along the same lines awhile ago. I'm curious about what this means! Obviously you don't have to answer if you don't want to and it won't hurt my feelings. And of course, feel free to answer privately.

I identify as sapiosexual* now. It took a while (much longer than I thought it would) to fully realize the basis for my attraction. I had been raised to believe that hetrosexuality was the only way that was out there, and once I realized otherwise, I was told that hetrosexuality was the right way. So it took me a while to see that what I thought was my own attraction to the way most females looked, that was really just me conforming to whatever the people around said was attractive. 

I’m attracted to intelligence, no matter the looks, gender or DNA. 

But that’s not all. I partially feel like it isn’t a sexual thing? Or at least not all the time? I don’t know if I just have a lower sex drive or I have some asexual mixed in. There are times when I’m attracted to a person, but I don’t want to have sex with them. I always want to make them feel good and cuddling/kissing would be nice but I don’t have a desire to orgasm based on interaction with them. 

I don’t know if other sapiosexual people feel the same way and that’s a normal part of sapiosexuality or if that’s just me. 

Either way I just want to open a coffee shop next to the bakery. Sapio Espresso and Ace Cakes. Intelligent conversations, caffeine, sweets and cuddles. Sounds like a great place to me. :P  

*For those at home who haven’t heard the word before, it is sexual attraction based on intelligence.
