Hey, I've never rlly heard of remary... Can i get a couple of headcannons to see if it's smth I'd like?

here are some of my favourite remary headcannons that i've already posted about <3

and because you've graced me with the perfect excuse let me tell you some more

in a modern au they always share earphones and have a blended spotify playlist that they play when they're together because they're music taste is so different (Mary is more into pop and Remus is more into indie rock) They have a rule where they're not allowed to talk shit about the others music taste and they can't complain if the other drags them to a gig. (Mary definitely took Remus to the eras tour and Remus is taking Mary to Oasis)

They were the ultimate best friends to lovers. Remus had a crush on Mary since they first met and Mary was completely oblivious to it

Remus hated Quidditch with a passion but best believe he was at every single game Mary played. And ofc Mary would paint her number on his face before the game

Mary would dress Remus sooooo much. One of her favourite things to do was take Remus shopping and help him find clothes that he felt comfortable in and looked great in. And Remus valued her opinion so much he would go to her for advice on literally anything

Despite really wanting to, they were not allowed to sit next to each other during classes because Lily and the other Marauders wouldn't let them. Lily refused to sit by any of the boys and the boys were firm "bros before hoes" (although they would never call Mary a hoe)

Mary loves being complimented and makes it known so Remus tells her how pretty she is every day

Remus loves being complemented but pretends he doesn't so Mary tells him how handsome he is and kisses he cheek when he blushes

To me they're just sooo darlings and so so sweet. They're truly becoming my comfort ship atm.

i love prongsfoot friendship and they're one of my favourites but honestly i don't ship them romantically.

It isn't because "they're brothers" or anything like that (cause that's stupid) it's honestly just because i have the curse where I can't ship Sirius romantically with anyone who isn't Remus. The only exceptions are wolfstarbucks and saintwolfstar so technically i do ship Sirius and James but only when Remus is also involved.

I cant explain why my brain works like that it just does

But all that being said obviously I understand why people ship them and if i'm reading a fic where they're a background ship i wouldn't be mad

There are many reasons why I don't like Pandora being a Rosier but the main one is that there isn't much wiggle room with it

When I first joined this fandom my hc for Pandora was that her maiden name was Jenkins because in the first fic i read that was her name (and she had a younger sister who will always remain one of my favourite characters ever) At that time not many people cared about Pandora, this was before people started headcannoning her to be friends with Regulus and the Slytherin Skittles were a thing

When the discussion of Pandoras maiden name began I couldn't really get on board with what people were suggesting, mostly because a lot of the names were names that belonged to characters we already knew, like Rosier, Lestrange, Malfoy, Ollivander i even saw a few Pandora Lupin headcanons. I didn't like having her be related to a character we already knew I kinda just wanted to see her as her own person without any resemblance to other characters (I thought the same about Alice too for a while)

I've since changed my mind on that and my main headcannon for Pandora is that she's an Ollivander. I think it suites her well and that having someone who experiments with spells be the daughter/granddaughter of a wandmaker makes sense and gives potential for Pandora to have an interesting backstory

But the death eater families I can just never get behind. It automatically gives her a storyline which is already canonically other characters. The whole growing up in a purist family and then leaving is kinda the Blacks thing and part of me also likes the idea that the Blacks are just pure chaos and can't keep their kids in line when everyone else is acting perfect

It is also very much because I don't like the idea of Pandora being the sister of Lucius or Rodophus and Rabastan and Evan

The Pandora and Evan being siblings hc I especially dislike, partly because I just don't like what it does to both of their characters. Evan in my mind will always be a complete dickhead who was always a purist and always a wanker and I cant see that when Pandora is standing by him as his sister. I see them as friends but in my hcs Pandora isn't just friends with the Slytherins but also with Edgar, Amelia, Benjy, Caradoc, Fabian and Gideon from her own year and because of that she's able to easily cut Barty, Evan and Regulus off the moment they start showing signs of acting on their prejudice, unlike Dorcas who didn't have any other friends and was really holding and hoping to the idea that they would change their minds

On top of that I can't see anything that we get from the Rosier twins that we don't get from any other siblings in the era. Like we already have the Black brother, Black sisters, Bones twins, Prewett siblings, Carrow twins, Lestrange brothers and Evans sisters who all have elements that have been ignored and given to the Rosiers. From ending up on different sides of the war, to being separated by magic, to one of them dying during the war and leaving the other, to even being low-key incest. There's nothing new that they bring to the table.

(and that's only from the cannon siblings. We still have so many characters that we know had siblings like Marlene or characters with the same last name who could be siblings like Hestia and Gwenog Jones and Olivia and Toby Gleves)

And I hateeeee what this does to Pandoras character it reminds me of how Marlenes character was created. Instead of Pandora being someone based on what we know about her in cannon (which isn't much but still) she's been crafted to best suite the men that we've put around her (Evan, Barty and Regulus) Like we don't even talk about her and Xeno anymore who she literally marrys and has a kid with

Also I cannot see Pandora as being younger then The Marauders. In my hcs Pandora is a year above the Marauders while Evan and Dorcas are in the same year as them and Barty and Regulus are in the year below, I simply cannot see it any other way

Yeah there aren't many headcanons that would stop me from reading a fic but this is definitely one of them. There is nobody I hate more then Pandora Rosier

HI HERE ARE MY FAVE REMARY HEADCANNONS

They love holding hands and always do whenever they walk together. literally these two never stop touching each other even if it's just their pinky's they HAVE to be holding each other some way otherwise they'll explode

Remus doesn't like parties and Mary does so whenever Gryffindor have a party Remus will sit in the corner by the window with the smokers while Mary goes out to socialise with her friends and dance. Before she leaves him tho she'll put on a shit tone of lipstick and kiss his cheek so it stays on just to make sure that nobody thinks he's single and tries anything before she goes back. Remus pretends to hate it but really loves how wanted it makes him feel

Remus' favourite thing about Mary is her confidence. he admires her so much and how she can always hold her head high despite the prejudice she faces for being muggleborn. he can only wish that he will be even a tiny bit confident as she is despite him being a werewolf

Speaking on werewolves. In a cannon universe where they're together i imagine the prank happening on the same day or the day after Mary getting attacked by Mulciber. In this universe i'm saying that Remus did care about the prank for the plot. So Mary is shut out in her room because of Mulciber and doesn't want to speak to anyone but Lily is trying to get her talk to her about what happened and while she's doing so makes a comment about Remus also refusing to come out of his room. Mary immediately thinks that the Slytherins had also hurt Remus and goes to the boys dorm to see him (she is the most protective gf in the world) but when Remus opens the door and tries to get out of telling her what happened she mentions that the Slytherins hurt her too in a way to tell him that she understands and Remus sees RED

Hear me out. Remus Lupin is not intimidating in the slightest. So when he goes to Mulciber he's laughed at for even thinking that he could take him. But i hc that Remus knows every defensive spell on the book (because he wants to be able to protect those he loves like his dad protected him)

Remus does eventually tell Mary everything and that's how Mary finds out that Remus is a werewolf

SPEAKING OF PARENTS. Lyall and Hope ADORE Mary. Mary is literally every in laws dream. She's polite and helping and all smiles around them and they can clearly see how much she cares for Remus and how happy she makes him

AND MARYS PARENTS LOVE REMUS TOO. They were skeptical at first because of the scars and the scrawniness of him but once he started talking they fell in love. (and they're obsessed with his welsh accent. they love how he speaks)

AND MARYS YOUNGER SIBLINGS ARE OBSESSED WITH REMUS. Mary in my hcs has an older sister and two younger brothers and because her brothers are so small they think Remus is the coolest person ever. They very bluntly asked him where he got his scars from when they first met and Mary told them that Remus fought a dragon

Yknow the "she's like a shot of espresso" audio of Andrew Garfield talking about Emma Stone?? Yeah that's actually Remus Lupin talking about Mary MacDonald

Remus loves burying his face in Marys neck. It's his favourite place to be and he loves kissing her there

Mary loves kissing Remus' scar on his face and hands. She's always sitting on his lap and running her hands through his hair

AH REMARY MY DARLINGS

After seeing all the promo for the We Live In Time film coming out next month all I can think about is Remary as parents

Cause I definitely think they'd have some. I think they both would want to become parents and for a long time the only thing keeping them back was Remus' fear of having children with lycanthropy.

I think in a universe where they do become parents it's by accident but I don't think Remus runs away like he does with Tonks in cannon. Nothing against Tonks or Remadora but I feel like Mary knowing Remus since they were kids and them being together for however many years would make Remus a lot more comfortable with the idea and although he would still be scared because of the added history that he and Mary have he wouldn't get that bad.

Mary screams boy mum but Remus screams girl dad so they're having mixed twins. (and the girl is DEFINITELY called Hope) (and i'm going to keep the boy as Teddy because i love Teddy and don't care if he's named after Tonks dad)

Hope would be a werewolf but Teddy wouldn't and when they were babies it was hell on earth during full moons because not only were Remus and Mary too worried about each other and Hope but they also had to deal with two crying children because the twins had to be together all the time and when they had to be separated for full moons they couldn't understand why.

here to ask about your evan and juliette post, who do you see as their sisters? since you’ve mentioned that you don’t like pandora as a rosier so i’m just curious

HELLO!!!

thank you so much for asking, I'm going to start with Evan as you mentioned that i dislike pandora as a rosier (dislike is too kind a word tbh)

I know that a lot of people hc Felix Rosier to be Evans brother but I hc him to be his cousin

In my headcanons Evan has six older sisters, Eve, Sabrina, Aimee, Grace and Aria.

Their father was desperate for a boy so he forced his wife to keep popping out kids until he got one. He did not care at all for any of his daughters and heavily neglected them the moment he found out they were girls. He didn't even know their names. Melanie (his wife) named all of the girls herself because he walked out of their births. She also raised the girls and had a great relationship with them.

The Rosier sisters got along really well and when Evan was born they tried to also befriend him but he wasn't having it. As a baby they weren't allowed to see him as he would always be with their father and the girls were scared of their father and once Evan got to an age when he could make his own decisions he turned his sisters down. He thought that he was superior to them simply because he was a boy and they were girls

Evans father taught him that it was all of their responsibilities to save the Rosier name and therefore by doing so save the Sacred 28 (as too many families were mingling with muggles and such) and that his sisters failed the moment they were born simply because they were born girls.

As for Juliette it's a similar story but in a different font

Like the Rosiers, the Wilkes were hoping for a boy but instead only got girls. In my hcs Juliette is the middle child and has two older sisters, Jasmine and Isabella, and two younger sisters, Rebecca and Victoria.

Because the Wilkes never got a boy, they relied on their daughters marrying rich and pure (especially because they aren't part of the Sacred 28) so the sisters grew up in constant competition with each other

The biggest spat they ever had was over who would marry Regulus Black. Juliette was originally the one promised to Sirius (she's also the girl who was eyeing him hopefully during their OWL and had always claimed to be in love with him) but when Sirius ran away and was disowned the promise fell through and instead Walburga and Orion promised their youngest son to the Wilkes girls instead.

They didn't apricots which sister though, so there became many arguments on who Regulus should marry. Juliette thought it should be her because she was the one originally supposed to marry a Black while Rebecca reckoned it should've been her since she was Regulus' age. Jasmine also got into the fight more often then not, claiming that she was the eldest and should get first pick.

(in fact, one of the only reasons why Juliette agreed to allow Evan to hang out with her and her friends in seventh year was because she didn't want him talking shit about her to Regulus)

(in the end none of them married Regulus cause he drowned)

I do want to go into more detail about them one day especially the reminding sisters after Juliette dies but today is not that day (i'm at work on my break and on a time crunch)

Who is Maryrose? I’ve never heard of her before

I am so so so glad you asked!!!!!

Maryrose Jenkins is an oc from The Marauders Series by Pengiwen (the first four books can be found on ao3 and all of the books can be found on wattpad) It's a reallyyyyy long cannon compliant fic with multiple povs and a book for each year, spanning from The Marauders first year to the end of the first war (and also flash fowards to what the Marauders characters were up to during 1993-1998)

Maryrose is Pandora's younger sister and is in the same year as the Marauders. She's a Hufflepuff and a Metamorphous and usually has teal hair. She's also trans!!!

In the fic Maryrose dates James for a bit during their fourth year and in their fifth year she meets Regulus and they immediately become smitten for each other and are one of the cutest ships to ever exist!!!!

To further explain why i'm so obsessed with them, here are just a few of my favourite quotes

They turned toward the Three Broomsticks, and Regulus looked over at her, then, using the very last of his bravery, he reached out and took hold on her hand. "Don't wanna get separated, he announced, lacing their fingers together.Maryrose squeezed his hand.

She leaned forward and kissed his chin, right in the cleft below his lips and her nose caught his lip and he kissed it softly. Regulus felt as though he were intoxicated or having an out of body experience. It was the first time her lips had touched his skin and it set off a wave of emotions and feelings that he hadn't been expecting, just coursing about through his veins like magical fire

Regulus was fairly certain that he was falling for her, with great chunks of his heart at a time

Regulus sighed. Maryrose was the only person in the whole castle he knew would never hurt him on purpose. And the only one that he felt any sort of connection to. He could not imagine what life at Hogwarts castle would be if Maryrose was not around him. Dismal and quite horrid, he imagined. Being angry with her hardly even seemed an option.

Regulus said, "I could be trying to draw you in, trying to trick you into liking me so I can drag you back to Voldemort's lair and let him kill you for the fun of it, for being a mudblood supporter." He purposely used the harshest term he could. Maryrose shook her head. "You aren't." "What if I was?" "Then I'd follow you blind."

"Can you do that too?" Maryrose asked Regulus, watching from a table as Sirius led Lily Evans about the dance floor. Regulus looked over. "I can do it better than him."Maryrose raised an eyebrow. "Better than that? They look like something out of a storybook." Regulus, who was wearing fine green dress robes, stood up. "Come on then. Come look like a storybook with me."

He stared into Maryrose's eyes as she pulled back... and she stared back into his.He could see her in the middle of them, in the reflection in her pupil was her soul... even as the irises changed colour with her nervousness now... he could still see her there. He would always see her there.

Hii! I'm Ev, I just read the headcanon you wrote, the one about Evan Rosier being born with the idea of a savior, and I have a small suggestion, of course feel free to ignore it. You say that when Evan was born his mother hated him because he would get everything her daughters couldn't have, but shouldn't she hate the father instead of hating a newborn? It's true that the child can become the shadow of his father, but I don't know if a mother who has just given birth would hate her child simply because of what his future may be, I think the story would be very good if, despite all that, his mother and sisters tried to make an effort to send the father to hell and try to make sure that the child does not turn out the way the father wants, because the fucking asshole so far is the father, not the son. Could it be that you have another way to end the story and I should mind my own business? Maybe, but I wanted to give you a lil suggestion.

I understand what you're saying and perhaps this is my fault because what i posted was small and not even edited, just a little snippet of what i see Evans family life to be like.

From Melanie (Evans mothers) perspective, she has been forced to give birth to six children in six years purely because her husband wanted a boy. When Evan was born she didn't hold him (she never does), he went straight into his fathers arms while she nearly bled to death. To her literally from the moment Evan was born he was nothing but an extension of his father.

It's her way of prioritising, if Evan was their first born or even second or third I think her feelings towards him would've been different and as you said, she would've wanted to save him from his father but at this point she has five daughters all under the age of 6 who might as well be fatherless (because Dameon never cared for any of the girls) and has to put them in front of anything else because nobody else is going to. Her plate is simply too full, and she makes the decision to disregard Evan because it's what she thinks she has to do for the girls. Keep in mind that when Evan is born she never even gets a proper look at him before she passes out from blood loss, instead she has Eve (Evans eldest sister) by her side.

As for Evans older sisters, i didn't get into them much in the post but they do spend a lot of their childhood trying to befriend him, but he never gave them the time of day because of how his father spoke of them.

There's a lot of jealousy going on with the siblings. Evan is jealous that the girls got a mum and Eve, Sabrina, Aimee, Grace and Aria are jealous that Evan got a dad. In the end both parents are partly at fault for the divide between them but the overarching baddie is Pureblood family culture and sexism as a whole.

Melanie was also a member of the Sacred 28 so she grew up watching her brothers have everything while she had nothing and wanted to give her daughters the best she could. She understood that the sons of the family were the heirs and got more then the daughters of these families so by refusing Evan of a mother it's like she's sticking it to the man in her mind. In Evan she not only sees her husband but also her father and brothers and every other boy who benefited from their male privilege
