Jewish Aces Facebook Group
The group is called “Jaces: Jewish Asexuals and Allies”. It’s set to secret, so only members can find and post, unfortunately, so if you want to be added you’ll have to either friend me on Facebook (inbox me for details) or inbox me your email address.
This could be a really good thing! Signal boost to really get it out there :)
ace jewish problems:
"hmm i wanna listen to some hozier"
my Church offers no absolution
she says worship in the bedroom
"hmm i no longer wanna listen to some hozier"
hey this is a slightly random question but i am quite musically anhedonic and the other asexual person i know also experiences this so i was wondering if they're at all related, can i ask about your a/sexuality and emotional response to music or lack thereof?
please reblog, thank you!
Hi sorry to bother you, but I've been raised pretty secularly, and I was trying to understand the whole 'judaism' thing a bit more, and I was really starting to feel connected, and then my synagogue had this whole thing about supporting Israel and now I just feel... kinda gross. Sorry. Part of this is I feel like I just have to tell... someone, I guess, but part of it is b/c you said you're Ba'alat teshuva, and just... what made you decide to become more religious? What was it like?
hey, sorry for the egregiously late response
first, a note: judaism =/= zionism =/= being pro-israel
um, i decided to become religious because judaism makes sense to me (on a systematic level, i’m not going to pretend i understand every detail), and because like. once one has the belief in an omnipotent benevolent infinite G-d who knows and wants the best for us, and one believes that this G-d gave one the Torah, it’s like. a helpful to-do list from the Source of all goodness in the world, why wouldn’t you? but that may not be helpful because i’ve been trying to engage with judaism for more than 3 years so i find it hard to think about religion without this mindset
it was and is difficult but rewarding. i feel like it’s the best thing i’ve ever done.

hi my name is Elżbieta, I don't know what to call myself when it comes to religion - my mother is Bulgarian Muslim and my father a Jewish Pole. I grew up with both religions been prevalent parts of my upbringing, and I don't want to dismiss one religion for the other, so what do I do ?
(cleaning out my inbox, I’m so sorry you had to wait so long)
I’m really sorry, I don’t think I can help. Do what feels right?
