Can we please stop playing the 'who has it the worst' games, in times when it doesn't benefit anyone and infighting due to it, when it comes to trans advocacy?
Saw a reel about how trans women are the most talked about when it comes to trans issues, but how trans men are often forgotten, since a lot of people believe that because they identify as men they automatically must have privilege forgetting that not all trans men can pass and therefore cannot benefit from male privilege. I'm bringing this up not to say that trans women 'have it so easy', only to point out a gap in trans discussions (as the video was doing the same kind of a thing). I of course agreed with the video, but would like to see enby people at least get mentioned since we are trans too and most times even more forgotten and pushed out of trans spaces. That is not what the vid focused on, of course, but at least a mention wouldn't hurt right?
So I go into the comments and see that under someone's comment of "don't forget nonbinary folks, we are here too" are so many comments with hundreds of likes that basically were like "why are you taking away the attention from trans men? This isn't about you. A way to make it all about yourself." I genuinely do not want to play the victim olympics of 'who has it the worst' because that isn't beneficial to anyone truly, but when enby people have been pushed out of our own community again and again, how the trans community has become so binarist over the years and just generally unwelcoming of enby people, I cannot help but feel an ick whenever someone mentions the trans community then proceeds to just talks about trans men and trans women and never acknowledges enby people.
Why the hell do we always get so much pushback when we just mention that we exist and that we are trans too? Trans men have it hard obviously, so do trans women, but can we also acknowledge nonbinary people? Like ever?

Since this is simply a false equivalent and not even a very convincing one. You CANNOT just compare a group of marginalized people who experience both trans and enbyphobia, to racist white people who aren't discriminated against in any way in the dominant western society, and only benefit from privilege and white supremacy. Nonbinary people are trans. Nonbinary people should get at least a mention in a video talking about the trans community, since doing otherwise only furthers the erasure of our community.
It feels to me like people just don't think about what they write sometimes, and I'm just so fucking tired... Instagram most of the time pushes negativity in their algorithm, I know, it's just saddening and really demotivating sometimes.
