"Hello, friend."
( this kiddo hasn’t forgotten about me - he’s still alive )
“ hey ace -- "
There was a smirk hidden beneath a more sober facade - never break a cooler look with this one, gotta impress’em ; that was his genuine mindset with such a youthful familiar, despite missing him like any kid missing their own mother - so he’s hidden impatience like words on riddles - except knuckles grazing uprose lips, light laughter prodding within his throat and tickling cheesy - affective words from forming but it’s all he’s got.
“ miss me ? “
and if there was an epitome that happiness and relief would coincide, it was definitely the presence of this endearing one - a familiar warmth to be unforgotten - greeted with almost opened arms regardless the times ticking through lifes’ endless toll. But there was a signature move too - that he would never forget himself. & so moving forward, each step seemed to hasten, and hasten, and hasten until he’s closed distance between the two. Though with the usual one limb wrapping around the juncture of the other to greet, both arms had wrapped around him instead, almost tightening without bounds. Nearly stammering on words close to teary-eyed - but with his usual upbeat pitch seemingly lingering throughout as if to say ‘I missed ya, Ace’ but unspoken with actions and a substitute instead.
“ sorry kid, ya gotta deal with both arms this time. “
