Unable to fight off her smile, Kairi's gaze fell to the floor once again. Knowing that she made someone she cared about so much happy meant more to her then she could express at the moment. Especially when it came to this someone.
Even better was the fact that he was feeling the same way, and he really did make her unbelievably happy too. A small blush found it's way onto her cheeks again as he ran his fingers through her hair. She'd never had this kind of contact with anyone before, everything feeling so strange yet so right at the same time.
As she lifted her eyes and began to get closer again, the redhead couldn't help but to admire everything about the person in front of her. She still couldn't even believe they were having these conversations or feelings for each other after the slightly shorter period of being together.
After all this time though, she knew she'd never get used to the feeling she got when their eyes met. Countless time she had wanted the chance to memorize every little detail of the various blue hues but she never got the chance out of shyness and somewhat embarrassment. Every moment there was a tiny glance or even just a small connection, she was pretty certain. No matter what, that small rush would never go away.
And once again, the rush had taken her completely as Ace pressed his forehead against hers. Kairi could tell that he might have been a bit nervous too. As far as she knew, this was the first time anything had been happening for either of them. That small fact calmed her down a little bit, but it didn't keep her heart from racing any slower.
"Good," She repeated right before their lips touched once again. This time, with a little more confidence than the last, she let herself relax into the kiss feeling comfortable knowing she wasn't alone. The whole idea was still kind of scary, unable to really tell what was going to happen, but knowing she wasn't the only one feeling the way she did made her feel safe that it was going to be okay.
Feeling his arms begin to wrap around her, pulling her closer than before, she found her hands doing just her same. She was careful not to hold on too tight, not wanting to suddenly move to fast. Instead all of her movements were light and gentle, exactly how she thought it should be.
Kairi's eyes fluttered open as Ace pulled away a slight bit. Her heart was beating much faster at the sound of his voice, paying attention to every word he said. Almost sure it was going to beat straight out of her chest, all she could do is nod in agreement. Kairi knew she could trust him, and she knew everything would be fine in the situation they were in. Feeling the warmth from the hand placed on her cheek, the smaller girl smiled slightly before she was pulled into another kiss.
Soon enough she could feel herself being pushed back lightly, and without resisting, she let herself fall back slowly. One of her hands somehow made it's way to the back of his neck, getting tangled in his soft blonde hair. Her heart was beating wildly from the new closeness, she didn't think anything more could happen to intensify the situation, but again she was surprised when he got hold of her hand. The contact sent some sort of electric jolt through her, a strange unexplainable feeling, though it wasn't bad.
As Ace's lips left hers again, Kairi attempted to find a way to breathe again, having an unsuccessful try. When he moved to kiss her cheek, and then her neck she found herself biting her lip, wondering what to say at this point.
"Don't know what?" She questioned quietly, running her free hand through his hair. Suddenly she felt a little more self conscious than before. What didn't he know about? Was something wrong? Was he maybe having second thoughts about everything?
Though those thoughts didn't seem rational after everything that had just happened, Kairi couldn't help but feel her heart sink. What if something was wrong, what was she going to do then?
"You know it's okay if we don't do this yet..." She started, nothing but a whisper. "Not that it's bad, I just don't want you to be uncomfortable or have to do anything you don't want to right away. Cause we have time, don't we? I know I'm not going anywhere, and I hope you're not either and..." Trailing off, she took a deep breath trying to get herself together again.
"What I mean is... We don't have to do everything right now. I really like you. Like, a lot." Letting out a small laugh she paused for a second. "And I plan on being able to be with you for a while, you know? So... I guess what I'm trying to say is, there's no need to rush right now. We've got all the time in the world, right?"
Feeling satisfied with what she finally got out, Kairi found herself wrapping her arms around the other in a tight hug. A small playful smile made it's way onto her lips as she spoke again. "Unless, you want to keep going for a bit... then I don't mind, I suppose."
