🛸 THE FUTURE… ACCORDING TO THE PAST 🛹✨

There’s something magical about late-70s skate ads. Every brand was convinced they had just invented tomorrow — and honestly, at the time, this probably felt like a spaceship. Fiberglass construction, precision trucks, bright red urethane… riders were stepping out of clay wheels and into real performance for the first time.

“The Shape of the Future” meant smoother turns, faster rolls, and boards that didn’t explode the first time you hit a driveway crack. Compared to the planks of only a few years earlier, this really was high-tech.

Funny part? Today’s setups have concave, kicktails, CNC trucks and formulas dialed to the decimal… yet we’re still chasing the same thing those ads promised: better control, more speed, and bigger smiles.

The future changes. Skateboarding doesn’t. 🧡🛹
