This post is dedicated to all acespecs that need someone to hear them out. To all the acespecs that feel guilty for not being able to fulfill their partner’s sexual needs. To all the aspecs (I know I went a little broad with this term) who think they will be lonely for the rest of their life because no one will want to be with them if “that stuff” isn’t included in the package. To all the acespecs who think they are unable to connect with people because no one has ever showed them that there is more to connecting with people than just being a couple and kissing and having sex. To all the acespecs that have never been told that there is a broad spectrum of grays and tones and colors and shapes and corners when having a relationship with another human being (either platonic, romantic, familiar, friendly, of respect, etc. Etc.) and that they don’t have to be alone. To all the acespecs that are seen like weirdos by this stupid society that makes you believe that romance and sex is all you need to have a fulfilling life. To all the alloaces that have a different experience to mine and sometimes are overridden by aroace people in their discourses, but are still as valid because the romantic and the sexuality spectrums are spectrums for a reason. To all the acespecs that haven’t found yet a micro label that fits them well enough and are struggling with finding themselves in the process. To all the acespecs that don’t use micro labels because there is nothing that describes their experience as well as themselves. To all the friends I’ve made along the way of me finding myself and using tumblr as my coping mechanism because I’ve had rough days myself. To all my fellow acespecs that have come to the community because of trauma. To @spacepocketghost and @smilechiales and @dragons-are-butterflies for making my days feel better this past few weeks.
