Almost 4 years ago. That cast got really yellow by the time it was ready to come off and get replaced with a new one. That cast and the one that followed were favorites because they looked so 1980s when fiber was a new thing and before they had colored fiber in docs offices.
Non-surgical Achilles treatment with casts. This was my second of two casts for the bad Achilles tear I got a few months ago. Crutches for most of that time, alternating with walking on the cast.
Hobbling around with a painful Achilles - April 2025. If you've got bad Achilles tendons (and mine feel like the worst) and you sprain one badly, you can end up casted for many weeks because they take as long or longer to heal than a broken bone.
May 2025. What a I doing between the tree top and the power line?! There's a video of this that I will post later. It looks like it's going to rain too, right?! Maybe not good to be so close to a powerline during the rain!
My doc actually encouraged me to get a black cast. Black is always better because it hides all the dirt.
