I finally reviewed my surgery experience and subsequent ER visit surveys. It was really painful to relive. I’ve been putting it off because I almost died.

They had to provide resuscitative measures.

So 5 weeks after surgery, to the date, I bit the bullet.

I’m a medical professional, well, not a ‘professional’ anymore despite 4 college degrees, countless hours of clinical expertise, specialty training, certificates, decorations, etc, but I digress, read more here -

The treatment I received was not the standard. I should have been admitted, and the post op team and my doctor fought over it. I put it all into words.

I have so many feelings surrounding this surgery in the first place. I didn’t want it, saw specialist after specialist after specialist. The recovery period has been a nightmare.

I’ve tried to remain upbeat about it, but pretending it didn’t happen is disingenuous.

Processing all of this for me and everyone around me has been really hard. I’m still fresh from surgery and have limitations for several more weeks, however no one can see it on the outside and they can’t feel how ran down I feel. How raw I am on the inside.

There’s so much more, I maybe will talk about it more one day, I completed the surveys though. My email inbox doesn’t haunt me as it did and I’ll take it for today.

It wasn’t my time.

It has been a helluva week for my delulu Atiny heart thanks to San, Wooyoung and Mingi!!

Sannie and Wooyo looking like they acknowledged what I said on Fromm - San said his face was puffy, I said it’s gorgeous, and then translation reckoned he said “no it’s not” (but that may have been in reference to snacks!!) And then Wooyo saying he’s resting too after I said I’m resting (I mean it’s likely others said similar or it’s coincidental but you better believe my heart skipped) *squealing giggling kicking my feet*

Mingi was on live and THANK YOU to the translatiny who was in there because he asked what songs we want to hear performed and, because it’s my fave atm, I commented “DUNE!!!”

AND SONG MINGI READS MY COMMENT AND GOES “Dune?? What was it….” trying to remember and then proceeds to SING HIS PART

Why he found learning Greek shit interesting he didn't know, but he did. Learning brought a welcome into his living routine.
