Istg sometimes I need to remember that the Carmen Sandiego characters are HUMANS.

HUMANS.

Like- no, I need to stop thinking Carmen isn't some kind of sheep-werewolf lady.

I'm going to start drawing Carmen Sandiego characters like that istg..

Chase and Zach Platonic Hc’s 

(This is NOT romance, more of a father/son dynamic)

Besides Carmen and Shadowsan, Zach hasn’t seen anyone cooler than Chase.

Somehow they make each other better at their job even if they do goof off. They don’t want the other to get in trouble and they feel like they have something to prove to each other. 

Now Chase isn’t the most functional human being but he teaches Zach all he knows. 

To Chase, it feels nice to have someone look up to him. He might be a fool but he’s self aware, he doesn’t make the best choices and can be rather insulting when he speaks; Zach gives him a reason to try his best to improve himself, to not let any criminal get away by some reckless mistake. 

He tried his best to show off and seem cool in front of Zach but he already looks up to Chase. 

Has accidentally called him “dad” once:

“So we should enter around here, right dad?” 

“Yes I believe that’s- Yes it’s correct.”

Both of them are a bit embarrassed but also happy.

They hang out a lot when they get the chance. 

It’s mostly playing video games, binging the latest media, or cruising around town.

They tried fishing but that’s way too boring for these action packed agents.

Extra: 

Ivy and Julia sharing embarrassing secrets about them

These girls help from the shadows

They facepalm in synch whenever the duo does something reckless

Chief: Did you apprehend the 2 ex-VILE operatives, agents?

Zack, Ivy, Julia and Chase: ...

-Flashback-

Zack: YOU ARE UNDER ARREST

El Topo: Ah.. I knew the day would come.. It is okay.

Le Chevre: *smiles* At least we had time to have time together and follow our dreams.

El Topo: I am forever with you, amigo.

Ivy: *lowers ACME gas gun*

Julia and Chase: *sniffs*

Zack, bawling: THAT WAS BEAUTIFUL

-Flashback ends-

Chase: ..Unfortunately, non, they have escaped!

Julia: ..Yes! They have escaped, uh-

Zack: To Mars! Yes, yes, there is no chance of arresting them, we should just give up.

Ivy: GOOD IDEA

Someone needs to draw Agent Zari as a pinata.

Chase and Julia, wrapped in toilet paper, soaked in orange juice and covered in sprinkles:

Reunions Part 4

Carlotta: When are your friends coming, again?

Carmen: Just about.. now!

Carlotta: *opens door to find 2 old Japanese men, 2 Bostonian redheads, 2 people with jackets loosely worn over regulation suits, 1 hologram, 1 boi less than 5' 2" tall, and 1 Australian with poofy hair*

Carlotta: ...!!

Everyone: *pushes past Carlotta to tackle Carmen*

Carlotta: YOU SAID THEY WERE A 'COUPLE OF FRIENDS'

Carmen: Yeah, look how sweet they are!

Julia: I'LL TAKE HIM! YOU TAKE HER!

Chase: THIS TIME WE'RE NOT FAILING

Carmen: ..Are they on a mission?

Chief: No, they're forcing Zack and Ivy to go on a walk

-After the incident with Paper Star, in a cafe-

Carmen: So! How's ACME been serving you?

Ivy: Pfft, ask Zack! He's Chief's favorite.

Carmen: *arches eyebrow*

Ivy: ..Yeah. I still can't believe it either.

Chase: I could've sworn it was Julia.

Julia: *rolls eyes*

Player: Hey Red! I'm back from school!

Carmen: Hey.

Player: You really left Paper Star.. tied up there, didn't you?

Everyone: *laughs*

Paper Star, being held captive next to them: SHUT IT
