Acne or pimples are one of the most common skin conditions that occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Each hair follicle is connected to a sebaceous gland (oil glands), which produces an oily substance called sebum. Sebum can plug up hair follicles, causing the growth of a bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, which is normally present on the skin.
Acne can cause painful and generally occur on areas of the skin with a relatively high number of oil glands, including face, neck, back, shoulders, upper part of the chest and even arms.
If left untreated, acne can lead to long-term hyperpigmentation or scarring. There are many products on the market to treat acne but they can take time.

After you have gotten rid of acne, it’s important to make changes in your skin care routine to prevent breakouts from returning.
Does anyone have tips on how to get rid of- or even lessen/ calm down acne from wearing a mask? I’ve broken out sooo bad since quarantine and need other peoples tips
Skin care routine 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 yours is perfect
thankyou!!! my skin really really isn't perfect i promise you (photos lie!) but it used to be much worse, and nothing had worked up until my current routine. there isn't an overnight cure and i can't say what worked for me will work for anyone else, but here's how i got from the photo on the right (taken last november) to my skin now (taken last week):
products:
🌷 facetheory clarifying cleanser c2
🌷 facetheory supergel oil-free moisturiser
method:
🌟 i'll wet my skin, take a pea-sized amount of cleanser, and lightly massage it across my skin using circular motions for about 30 seconds.
🌟 then i dry my skin by patting it with a clean, dry face towel.
🌟 finally i apply a pea-sized amount of moisturiser.
🌟 i do this twice a day, once in the morning and once before i go to bed.
these products seemed quite pricey for me at first but a jar of cleanser lasts me around 3 months and a tube of moisturiser 2 months. it took a while to notice a significant impact but over time it completely cleared my skin!
i am also vegan, and change my pillowcase every 2-3 days, flipping it between days. i really don't drink enough water but i have been sleeping better and that has a noticeable effect on my skin.
i hope this helps!! my biggest tip would be consistency - i'm sure there are plenty of products that would work, you just need consistency and patience to see results<3
there's a Russian superstition that if you get a pimple on your nose someone has a crush on you so don't feel too bad about your acne boo
