doing my makeup without covering up my acne >>>>
Honestly, I’ve struggled with having clogged pores for a while and the only thing that has helped me is salicylic acid. Once my pores have been clogged, no amount of washing has actually worked in getting them unclogged. Pimple patches wouldn’t work, as the dead skin and oils would be trapped too deep beneath the surface of my skin. I would recommend salicylic acid to anyone that has non-inflamed, non-infected clogged pores. It’s worth a shot, but always make sure to patch test on your arm or the back of your hand first to make sure that you don’t have an allergic reaction. Salicylic acid is a natural material, so allergic reactions are definitely something that can happen. Please practice safe skincare and always patch test. Also remember that salicylic acid can dry you out, so please use lotion or reduce the application amount if it’s drying out and irritating your skin. It’s also one of those things where it seriously does get worse before it gets better, because the salicylic acid will bring skin congestion to the surface and clear it out, so be patient before gauging whether or not it may be working. Just wanted to share because this has been the only thing to help me.
new skincare challenge! (except there is only one rule lol)
1. no touching (especially picking!) my face except for gently applying skincare
🙈 this is going to be VERY difficult for me, but i’m excited to see the beautiful results!! i’ll post updates about how my scars and healing and if my breakouts are improving. unfortunately, i’m about to enter my luteal phase 🥀🥀 so i don’t see very clear skin in the near future. but! i know that if i don’t pick at my skin while it’s actively breaking out for the next week or two, by the time i reach my follicular/ovulatory phase it’ll be clear and without new scars 🫶
please recommend rules for me to add! also lmk if you want a tour of my skincare routine 🤗

10 Amazing Home Remedies for Acne and Pimples
Acne or pimples are one of the most common skin conditions that occurs when hair follicles are clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Each hair follicle is connected to a sebaceous gland (oil glands), which produces an oily substance called sebum. Sebum can plug up hair follicles, causing the growth of a bacteria known as Propionibacterium acnes, which is normally present on the skin.
Acne can cause painful and generally occur on areas of the skin with a relatively high number of oil glands, including face, neck, back, shoulders, upper part of the chest and even arms.
If left untreated, acne can lead to long-term hyperpigmentation or scarring. There are many products on the market to treat acne but they can take time.
Here are 10 amazing home remedies for acne and pimples that you might want to try.

After you have gotten rid of acne, it’s important to make changes in your skin care routine to prevent breakouts from returning.
Normalising Acne 💛 This is a difficult subject for me, as I am hugely insecure about this. Summers coming, the days are starting to get warmer and we are starting to consider our summer clothing. Every summer i face the same insecurity of my skin. Even though I have tried every lotion, potion, supplements, a skincare routine given to me by a dermatologist and 2 years of Ruaccutane, I get acne on my back, chest and shoulders, something I have lived with for 17 years. Every summer whenever I’m brave enough to not cover it, someone comments on it, and it fills me with embarrassment and I cover back up. Can we start normalising that not all of us has perfect skin despite having a healthy lifestyle and skincare routine? I want to be able to wear strapless dress without being judged with “poor hygiene” because I have acne. I don’t have poor hygiene, I just got unlucky in the skin genetics. . . . . . . #acnecommunity #acnefree #acnehelp #acnejourney #acnepositivity #acneproblems #acneprone #acneproneskin #adultacne #acne #bodypositivemovement #allbodiesaregoodbodies #hydratedskin #skinlove #beautyobsessed #cleanskincare #skincareroutines #skinstagram #bodyacceptance #bodyimage #curateyourownfeed #creativegalgang #microinfluencer #microblogger #blogandbeyond #seeingthepretty #bloggerstribe #babessupportbabes #smallblogger #theuncoolclub (at London, United Kingdom) https://www.instagram.com/p/CNVJpBGMLdg/?igshid=1lbggp35ve207
