So I stopped playing pocket camp when it added the camera update bc my phone can't run it ever since then, but at this point even if I could I wouldn't go back.

You're telling me they stopped doing big updates to acnh and basically said "thanks for buying switches to play this game you paid full price for, also likely plus internet and/or DLC, hope you enjoy this last update 2 years into the game! We're gonna focus on pocket camp and pleasing our gambling addict whale fanbase because it's more profitable!"

Like you're fucking telling me they just got their maximum villager number DOUBLED and still are getting new content SEVERAL years in, but we can all just sit here with our main series game and 2 years of updates and being told to essentially fuck off while they cater to the spinoff mobile game.

I'm not some idiot "oh filthy casual" over mobile games that's not my issue, my issue is a company blowing off the loyal fans who paid for a whole new system to play the latest game on, and we get backseated for a free to play mobile game bc they can squeeze more cash out of it. I know companies exist to make money, but when they do that by pissing off their fanbase we're allowed to be pissed about it.

Idk this just doesn't sit right with me so I wanted to complain about it. More actual acnh content later.

Right now I’m not really seeking out any specific villager!! Like I have an island of 10 villagers who I love, I have a good variation of species and personalities. It’s been like this since the spring and although I’ve moved a few people out and back in since then (I got Claudia to teach me the snooty reactions because I was literally missing all of them and Jeremiah lived here for a bit before going back to my friend’s island) I don’t really foresee myself changing anything now bc I’m so attached to the ones I have

That said though, there are so many villagers I’d love to have and top of the list is probably Willow. She looks like a highlighter exploded and I absolutely love that for her, plus her catchphrase bo peep is adorable, she’s such a queen. She was at my campsite like a month ago and I was so sad I couldn’t take her. Marshal and Merry are 2 absolute cuties who I’d love to have, Coco is so unique, Pietro is an icon who I’d love to move in, Chrissy and Francine are so cute, Snake is literally so funny I’d love to have him, Sherb is such a sweetie, Henry, Ketchup, Tangy, Cookie, Flora, Merengue, Judy, Tia, Lily, Joey, Lolly, Mira, Tad, Audie, literally all the Sanrios, there’s so many amazing villagers 10 slots will never be enough </3

So to answer your question, I’m not really looking for anyone right now bc I don’t want to lose anyone from my island, but in the unlikely event Nintendo drops more housing slots out of the blue, Marshal, Willow, Snake, Sherb, Coco and the bubblegum sisters are probably top of my list!!

As much as I love New Horizons, I feel like it’s completely underdeveloped. There’s so many things still missing from the game with no hint of it possibly coming in the future. There’s been so many bugs and glitches that are constantly having to be fixed. There’s a lot of quality of life stuff they could improve on immensely. And just overall, seems rushed. I’m surprised to see so many glitches when they pushed back the release date for so long. I understand that Animal Crossing is a game that is meant to play over months and months, but would they really wait to add things that late in the game?? Things like the Post Office, Dream Suite, the Roost, and many others could possibly be out of the game for good and we wouldn’t know. Idk the game is just a little disappointing so far.

Animal Crossing New Horizon: A Villager Rant

Island Name: Provinisle

Island Theme: Beauty and the Beast

Days Played: 12

Originally, my girlfriend had bought ACNH for our switch as a pre-order and I started playing on our mutual island about a week later. We enjoyed it and didn't at all mind sharing an island, but didn't much care for the couch co-op. So, for my birthday, I bought myself a switch lite and my girlfriend bought me ACNH and I started a new island. I've been having fun with it and love all of my villagers (I started with Hazel and Hamlet, and then got Midge, Wendy, and Moe). But then... Fucking Pietro came to town.

Pietro. This village is the stuff of nightmares. I have a very specific theme I'm trying to obtain for my island. It's supposed to be a quaint provincial town with pleasant townsfolk and sprawling gardens, a bake shop, and library... But it was all ruined when this nightmare decided to camp at my island.

I walked into the visitor tent, saw him, gave a soft nope, and then talked to him just to cement my initial gut reaction. His arrogance knows no bounds!! He's full of himself and acts like he's some hot AF actor or star or something and is just - UGH. So I proceeded to nope nope nope out of the tent and resided to try and wait for another villager to grace my campsite.

He continued to camp. For FOUR DAYS. I then looked it up and realized I had to invite him to stay because he was my very first camper. Needless to say, I was livid.

I placed his house in a secluded corner, FAR away from my main residential area and I have made the determination to not talk to him and complain to Isabelle about his attire every day.

But now that he's all moved in, I decided to check out how he designed his house. I was gonna pop in, not talk to him, and then pop out. And this is what I found:

He is legit the stuff of nightmares! He steals your children and then makes them play perverse murder games against one another, I tell you!!!

In an effort to get him to move out more quickly, I plan to invite friends over to the island with the sole purpose of hitting him with nets. Neighborhood Watch will protect this provincial town!!!

Nintendo. I love Animal crossing. I really really do. But I must ask. Why? Why would you make a diving creature that swims faster than the player? There might be a fun element of strategy if you could sneak up on it like a lot of youtubers are currently claiming, but I have video proving it runs from you even going the slowest possible speed you can move.

This was not fun. This was 30 solid minutes of pure, unadulterated frustration and rage. I finally caught it, mostly through sheer luck catching it in a random turn, but in the process I gave myself a headache and I think my constant murmurings of it being "fucking bullshit" scared my husband.

Plz don't do this.

How is it that after two, TWO WHOLE MONTHS, I have yet to encounter a single bathing suit in any style??!?! NOT A ONE! NOT A SINGLE, LOVINGLY CRAFTED BY CLAW BATHING SUIT???

It’s a tropical island! PLEASE LET ME BUY A BATHING SUIT! This is the only beach I’ll get to be on this year!
