to me, the appeal is that the male bodies in question are being harmed, as well as the dynamics involved with that harm. there is also an appeal to the masculinity of brothers, in the sense that it's not something i'll ever fully understand. i like the challenge of trying to comprehend those fundamental differences of brothers versus sisters.
