I’m getting a real kick out of seeing the dialogue from each animal when I put them in the same outfit as myself, though the final bit (”This isn’t weird at all!”) doesn’t ever change. I also like how Broccolo’s eyes turn yellow when he is surprised, like how Dotty’s turn red. It doesn’t have any real significance, it’s just kind of neat.
I can’t imagine that the trout itself has any idea that we consider it to be a “rainbow” trout, let alone that it has a pot of gold hidden away somewhere at the end of... itself, I guess. I mean. I don’t really know what Broccolo is getting at, here.

The story was a tale as old as time: Apple asked her mirror who was the greatest pop star, Broccolo was hiding behind it and said it was him, he stepped out to reveal the joke, Apple told him to stop talking so that she could hear the mirror, Broccolo told Apple that she should put on a concert if she wanted to outdo him as a pop star, and she did so. This is story happy end!
Broccolo talking about the end of the year. Is this supposed to be a reference to how I’ve collected all kinds of rare flower seeds? I sure haven’t collected any fossils or candy wrappers, that’s for sure.
Intended to be judged as a redneck
Okay, for real, I’ve found more items for Broccolo than nearly anybody else combined. Is it because he’s the first animal listed on my campsite? Because of his type (lazy)? It may even all be coincidence.
By the way, I know I’ve mentioned repeatedly that I wondered about the mechanics of Gulliver, but I just recently found all about them on the Pocket Camp subreddit. So I imagine I might be able to find out the mechanics of this, too, if I really wanted. But, uh, I don’t.
I kind of expected there to be some kind of punchline, but I guess this is sort of good, too. Broccolo wants the gods to give him food. Including “omelets,” which is a way of spelling “omelettes” that I’m really unused to. Google tells me that it’s still correct, but it’s super weird-looking to me.
Broccolo lost his book, and it turned out to be his copy of Beginner’s Guide. Presumably, this is the book that Isabelle reads to you? It’s an awkward title, though: it’s just “Beginner’s Guide.” Not even a guide TO anything.
