I almost did a post showing what these two say about the couch they’re sitting on (Pekoe actually commented on her coffee, not the seat, but you know what I mean), but that wasn’t as interesting to me as just seeing these two pictures side by side like this. Like, do you think that they know this sofa’s being used by everybody? And that everybody sits directly in the middle, so only one animal can use it at a time? Does a hippo sitting in the middle like that make it bend or go flat at all? Does anybody have trouble seeing Pekoe on there since her fur matches the cushions?

Look, I know that the answers to these questions are “no,” “no,” “no,” and “no,” but this game doesn’t provide a lot of fun on its own and I have to make my own sometimes.

Giving Rocco a silver treat. He thought I was trying to get information out of him, but then admitted that I wouldn’t have to actually do anything like this to get that information, then give me no information. Well, other than telling me that he wants other gifts in addition to this snack. USEFUL INFORMATION??

Rocco enjoying(?) the haunted bench. He was surprised by the ghost, but realized that it wasn’t actually hurting him, so it’s fine that there’s a ghost there.

We could all learn something from this. If there’s a ghost in your house, just really evaluate whether or not he’s causing you any trouble. Is it opening doors for you? That’s just polite. That’s a polite ghost. Cherish that ghost.

Yeah, Rocco! Sure is “awful neat!” Not inconvenient in the least! I mean, hey, I live in a house that can be both heated and cooled as needed, so the seasons really only affect me during my commute to and from work, right? It’s just neat!

But sure, let’s enjoy these colors for the last couple of weeks before they’re all drowned out in a blanket of powdery, frozen water, that threatens to crush everything. Hope it doesn’t! That wouldn’t be very neat at all!

As it turns out, I only have the Cranky personality left to display as far as Explorer’s Day dialogue goes, so here it is! He wants to get out there and explore this crazy world.

Fun fact: I live in a city named after Christopher Columbus, and it’s always a little strange when Indigenous Peoples’ Day comes around. Sometimes people vandalize statues of the guy and everything! Which, I mean, I get.

Weren’t cranky villagers talking about how much they DIDN’T care about fireworks earlier this summer? What happened? Why the change of heart? Was there a public outcry?

As an elderly person myself, I have to say I’m with Rocco on this one. I haven’t gone to see fireworks anywhere in a little over ten years, actually, now that I think about it, which is actually kind of surprising. I don’t HATE fireworks, though, I just also don’t love them.

I live in an area where everybody’s got a tiny yard, so a few people set off fireworks on July 3 and 4 after it got dark outside. I thought they were gunshots at first, because I grew up in an area with a lot of gunshots. To make it clear, it was proooobably people trying to kill animals, but I can’t really say that with certainty.
