All right yâall-weâre halfway through season two and Iâm fixinâ to complain. I do not expect this post to be very popular or to gain much traction, but I needed to get it off my chest before the next episode drop.
Rant positively inspired by this reblog: âŹïž

Truthfully, Iâm so fcking tired of all the ship discourse surrounding Alastorâs asexuality.
The lack of tolerance in this fandom is unbelievable. Itâs disappointing. Itâs hypocritical.
More importantly, many of the people trying to âpoliceâ Alastorâs character in fanmade-works donât seem to realize theyâre invalidating ace experiences like my own.
Asexuality is a spectrumâsomething thatâs been carefully explained in countless posts since the pilot episode aired. Yet, every day, people in the Hazbin fandom continue to make truly ignorant, and (sometimes cruel) assumptions about a life theyâve never lived.
Iâm in my 30s. Iâve never been kissed⊠I still have my friggin V-card.
That said, Iâm tired of everyone assuming that just because I donât crave sex, Iâm incapable of a romantic or even a sexual relationship. Sure, I donât seek sex out. I rarely even think about it. But just because Iâm not inherently drawn to it doesnât mean Iâm repulsed by itâor afraid of it. It just means itâs not something I naturally want.
With the right person though? I might be open to it, just as Iâd be open to watching their favorite show or going to their favorite restaurant.
Yes, there are asexual people who are sex-repulsedâand their feelings and experiences absolutely matter. But they are not the only ones who exist. They are not the only ones who deserve representation.
(More damning? These people are not the ones acting vile online)
And hereâs the biggest point: Alastor is an imaginary character.
He doesnât need your help. He doesnât need your protection.
But the person on the other side of the screen? Real.
The artist whose page you left a hate comment on? Real.
The author who poured pieces of their own experiences into a fanfic? Real.
Real. Real. Real.
You want to help? You want to protect? You want to validate asexual voices?
Then stop preachingâand listen to us. All of us. Even the âweirdâ ones who donât fit neatly into your worldview.
If thatâs too much for you? Then at least remember, at the end of the day, you control the content you consume.
If you donât like a ship, block the tag.
If you donât want romance or smut, use tags like âQueerplatonic Relationshipâ or âSex-Repulsed Alastor.â
Pleaseâjust let the rest of us enjoy our fandom in peace.
And if you canât stand to have your worldview stretched beyond your prejudices of how a proper ace should be? Or you refuse to be tolerant and learn how to respectfully coexist with people you disagree with?
Then maybe you are not ready to watch a series meant for âmature audiencesâ.
You aren't going to tell me this man hasn't at least THREATENED to spank the first reckless brat in his life
