Pop Art Conclusion
McKenna, #Painting blogger, reflects on her final Pop Art project of fall 2024: a bold commentary on consumerism, inflation & waste through eggs & receipts. Explore how everyday items become art with layered meaning. #ArtEd #MarywoodArt #PopArt #eggs

Watch as Paul explains how to best exploit four of the most common mediums when working with acrylic paints –the demonstration is centred on four prepared textured images created using the impasto technique. On each one you are then shown a quite separate way of manipulating one particular medium.
First, you can see how thinning paint down with water works (water is a medium).
Second, you can see how the standard acrylic medium works.
The third demonstration shows a typical gel medium in use and finally – the fourth is a typical texture paste (modelling paste).
And as a final hint and tip Paul returns with a second colour onto one of the previously completed demonstrations.
Artist and Author Paul Taggart has worked with people who paint for pleasure, whether as a pursuit or as professionals. Over the forty plus years that he has done so, it has been his policy to share as much information as possible – for he passionately believes that everyone is given the chance to develop. Each episode of ‘Painting Equipment Focus’ concentrates on one painting tool and shows how to best exploit it. Likes: 1 Viewed: source
