Dandelion Seed

I'll wander through fields every spring now, where they look like a layer of frost. Blowing the seeds around, the lawns that were so carefully treated against, a natural flower, all because of image sake. I'll remember wandering at three am, doing just this, down by the pier with you, laughing. Telling our friends to not climb on the pipes floating in the Lake, staring into the depths of Lake Michigan, astonished at how vast and different it was at night. I'll remember running and wondering for a week why I was sore, but running for fun, not because I was in trouble. Acting like a teenager, the way I never got to. As if I broke curfew, because last year felt like being grounded and it planted the dandelion seed for this year, giving me all I could ask for, even when the nights aren't always that happy.
