The callback for this role in a short film happened this morning, and I booked it! And, yes, this is how I looked at the callback. In prep for the callback, I used a combination of Method Acting, Sense Memory, and Meisner - proof that when acting, sometimes you need to use a dash of some or all techniques. There's a quote that has made an impact on my auditions/self tapings ever since I read it. The quote has been attributed to Samuel L. Jackson: Acting consists mostly of auditioning. @@!! I was just thinking how I'm not going to trip about the auditions I don't get, because I will get what's meant for me. And, then this. So, yesterday, I created a self taped audition for a commercial. Tried to upload the video last night. It wouldn't upload! Then this morning I saw this message! I guess this definitely wasn't meant for me. Oh well, I got a chance to work on my ear prompter skills and delivering commercial copy. It was a great experience.
