“I lyrically went after all the NWA wannabes and fake ass studio gangstas that started poppin’ up everywhere.  It was the beginning of my frustration with the overdose of gangsta rap in the industry and became the back drop to my “Slaughtahouse” album in 1993″.  This was supposed to be song from my second album, which would have been the follow up to “Take A Look Around” album.  I began writing and recording this in 1991 at Libra Digital Studios In Queens but when things went sour at Cold Chillin’ Records for me, all of the joints got shelved, destined to never be heard by the public until now. -- Masta Ace

“This is me taking on the role of a homeless man, asking you & whoever for a little help getting through life.  I recorded this in 1991, it was suppose to be on my follow up to “Take A Look Around” album, I began writing and recording this at Libra Digital Studios in Queens but when things went sour at Cold Chillin’ Records for me, all of the joints got shelved, destined to never be heard by the public until now.  The title and concept of the song was thrown out completely when the Common “Can I Borrow A Dollar” album dropped a couple of years later, I guess great minds think alike.” -- Masta Ace
